Watching his highlights he reminds me of Cripps in the way he creates space and is happy to take on or brush aside tacklers. Not quick but strong core, which enables him to keep his feet under pressure. Like very much

Super clean hands, nice burst of speed from the contest, silky skills, composure under pressure, can actually kick a goal from 50m on the run (wow!).
On talent and potential upside, he is right up there with Cripps.

Quite possibly, but it needs to be as well. the Game has morphed into a midfield centric game that requires a dominant midfield (or at least one that can break even with the opposition mids) At least we will give our defenders and forwards a real chance

We have 10 very good midfielders. There is a spine of 7 already including ruck. Dochherty Simpson Polson Fasolo make 21.
Last spot someome probably a Thomas/Williamson type.
This wont be the same list as 2018...EVERYONE in the midfield is a year better, perhaps except Ed and Murphy.
A few more mids would be nice...but to say we NEED 6 is sheep-minded mythical crap.

From the limited vision I've seen of him, he is cripps v2.0
I say 2.0 because he appears to have better skills and vision than cripps at the same age. If setterfield can match cripps' hunger and workrate, he will be a better player than cripps.
No pressure on the kid, but I truly believe that he can be anything.
