This thread will be monitored actively for posters who drag down the quality of posting for all others, and they will have their access to the thread removed.

Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed. These are a conversational barrier and fall-back point for people to simply sling mud. That's unacceptable. Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

As always, please submit ideas for the thread title by tagging me! Winner announced when I get around to it.

Joe Biden, 46th President Thread is over there ->

Do any of you arbiters of truth want to explain to Mick F here how the property development/construction industry works or do you all think that every time Harry from Meriton wants to develop a new apartment block or James Packer wants to build a new casino they dip into their own savings?

Anyone want to explain how loans (debts) or losses (investments/tax deductions) work?

Anyone want to list all the successful companies/business people in history who have filed for chapter 7 debt relief or bankruptcy....anyone? No? Do you just want to perpetuate this circle jerk?...That's what I thought...

Here are a few if anyone is interested:
Abraham Lincoln
Stan Lee
Walt Disney
Henry Ford
Milton Hershey
Ulyssess S Grant
Francis Ford Coppola
Apple
General motors
Chrysler

What a bunch of losers...
Interesting list. From memory I think you can add Frank Lloyd Wright but don’t quote me on it.

Couplee of key differences. None of those entities faced criminal prosecution, as Trump likely will if he loses in November.

And all of those entities went on to do great things. Trump, by contrast, has created little except golf courses and skyscrapers, and has, on the contrary, urinated on the hallowed institutions that are the very foundations of the American freedom that his most fervent supporters are always banging on about.

”Adversary” implies an ability to sustain one’s argument. One of the most exasperating things about the Trumpanistas on this thread is the swagger with which they wade into a stoush and the pathetic way they disappear into the wallpaper the moment anyone contests them with truth, logic and verifiable facts.

I would love to lock ideological horns with a really intelligent, imaginative, respectful conservative thinker in these pages but they’re few and far between.

And I guess in the case of Trump, there’s the plain fact that whatever reason someone might have had for defending him four years ago has been rendered utterly invalid by Trump’s diabolically disastrous record in office.

Lol...people disappear from this thread due to your superiors thread banning them on a whim...

Bias initiated...context and irony completely lost...Trump hate circle jerk fully engaged...

I'll probably be banned now by ShanDog or Chief for using the term 'circle jerk'...

It was fun while it lasted... have fun you guys!

Funnily enough, I’m aware of that.

It’s the quality of that presidency which is of a piece with his bankruptcy-littered history.

Let’s be honest, that’s not really an argument, is it?

You know why you tagged me..... you're bored... without adversaries you realise how inane this thread and it's main contributers really are.

In our last discussion back in May, I told you nothing significant (ie. Obama) would happen this year until after the election due to optics, so not sure what 'update' you'd be expecting.

Exactly right.

Generally speaking I don't have much to post about at the moment because of the shrieking decibels surrounding the campaign (coming from both sides)

Am being highly entertained by every morning dose of Steve Bannon's Warroom Pandemic but!

Haha yep, you wheeled out that revision shortly after Barr advised that Obama wasn't even being investigated.

No mention of having to wait until post-election up to that point, imagine that :tearsofjoy:

Can't wait for the next revision after nothing happens post-election, I do enjoy the fantastical landscapes you invent.

I don't consider anyone on here an 'adversary' fwiw, much less a blow-in like yourself. More like a court jester :tearsofjoy:
That made me immediately think of Bung from the Wizard of Id. :)

The Second Coming will occur before Trump's Health Plan.

:)
YOU MEAN WE'VE GOT TWO WEEKS UNTIL THE SEAS BOIL AND THE FOUR HORSEMEN RIDE THE WASTELAND????

Cranky, sometimes you're pretty dumb for a smart guy.

Most people who can think for themselves will look at the Biden stuff and say, yeah, that's corruption. It stinks, they're all part of the swamp.

Here's the obvious thing, though: the same type of people in the US are not going to say "Gee, now that I see this, I'm going to change my vote to Trump". Anyone who can process obvious corruption is also able to process just how much Trump stinks.

No voter will change their vote to Trump based on this. It's just Trump supporters like yourself grasping at straws to justify their stance. No matter how hypocritical it is.

But funnily enough never mentioned it previously, or indeed at any time right up until this point when Koschy gave you the idea :tearsofjoy:

Take it up with the Republicans on the senate intelligence committee I guess

The report ultimately fails to support one of Republicans' top claims about the Burisma affair — that, as vice president, Joe Biden fought for the ouster of Ukraine's top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, to protect Burisma and his son from scrutiny on corruption issues.

So 'circle jerk' is an acceptable term?

Good to know, thanks Shan, that's already far more clarity you've given than when you banned me...

Maybe you 'Moderators' should let the thread know when and why you've banned someone so guys like SBD Gonzalez don't get the wrong idea and overestimate their reasoning/debating skillls...
