My guess is he’ll mostly use this to stoke further division, he hasn’t got the character to do anything else. Maybe a token ‘political violence isn’t ok’ comment followed up with a ‘but..’ or an ‘except..’

Whilst I don’t think many of us have individually been directly impacted by Trumps policies, the fact the US is our biggest ally can see real life consequences play out over the coming years and/or decades.

Security Service actions immediately after the shooting were bizarre. They allowed him to stand up and make a defiant gesture to the crowd before shuffling off. If there was a second shooter he would have had a clear head shot for a few seconds in that time.

How absolutely stupid was that shooter? I don’t know wtf they wanted out of this. Trump survived and he will be painted as a hero against the ‘radical left’ by the right. They will now conflate the attack on Trump as an attack on the US itself. They’ve given them a new rallying angle.

Win or lose the election, the shooter has now taken this battle to a new level.
