Geez I’d love a week or so on or around that beach right now. Looks glorious.

On a football note Robbie appears to have had a very solid pre-season thus far. Giving himself every opportunity to be next in line as that small forward we’ve lacked since Thomas.

He's the type of player with a degree of unknown about how much improvement is in him.

He was the shining light in the last few absolute shit team performances.
With confidence players you can find that they make a lot of improvement very quickly when things click. I'm backing him in.

Not sold, a bit weak, hates a contest, and goes missing for 97% of the game. Lets hope he proves me wrong.

Strong username to post correlation on this one. :)

Really want it to work out for him - his skills seem great. Definitely have him ahead of Harvey for now. But a bit confused at everyone saying he isn't undersized anymore - to me he looks still like a skinny twig?

Have to disagree with the bolded. Is ineffective in a contests atm due to lack of strength, and confidence, but has shown in VFL he is up for it, even flying the flag for team mates at times. Is streets ahead of our AFL level cats/ex cats Stevo & Stephens, and will only improve as he gets confidence in his role.

agree, heaps more tikka than narrier and spicer showed. dont expect him to be the second coming of carey, just to go when its his turn.

Needs to be in the 1st North team come Round 1 in 2025 and make a statement to stay there.
If this doesn’t happen and he goes thru the motions in the VFL he will be in line with Payne and Harvey to be delisted

Battling Konstanty for a spot so will be interesting to see where that ends up.

There’s definitely something there.
We should be playing both of them - other clubs are playing 3-4 small forwards.
We love trying to fit square pegs into round holes by playing mids in these positions

Really? Payne been in an AFL program for 6 months. Pretty quick to write him off
Well it’s a cut throat business the AFL if there was a rule we can keep Payne,Harvey,Hansen on the list for 3-5 years let them develop them without delisting them then fine and pay them outside the cap .
As atm in time there’s not such a rule and if players cop serious injuries at there start of there careers it’s bad luck.
We need as a club we can’t be finishing 17th-18th again we need to climb the ladder to get around that 10th-15th mark this year.
We need to make a massive statement this year otherwise players will start to leave.
I hope we can all agree on that now Merry Xmas.

What says that Payne doesn’t cut the mustard for a 19 year old in a position we really have nothing?
