Yes but the problem with Trump's policies, as much as they sound great to the "average American" and appeal to their absurd sense of patriotism, it is actually going to negatively impact the base that he has formed (uneducated lower income people).
If he was actually advocating for increasing taxes on high income earners, looking to lower CPI, finding ways of increasing employment (mind you unemployment isn't overly high), making health care affordable, making higher education affordable then I could understand the love for him amongst this demographic - but he is diametrically opposed to any of these policies. What he actually is is an expert in sales. His whole life has been this - selling products to people irrespective of need or want. That's not a sin but it is not what a country needs imo in a leader.

I think you're misunderstanding my point here.

As someone who clearly supports AOC, you don't seem to understand that a great deal of the public think that she's too young/inexperienced + she uses a lot of emotive arguments, instead of factual ones to push her position(see the whole crying at the border stuff + Tom Holman hearing).

Regardless of how good her potential policies are, she needs to moderate her public image for the mainstream voters to be appealing for them to support.

This is the same for any politician going for a leadership position, not just her.

You can be as 'correct' as you want about her, it's irrelevant if people believe the 'chopped up and edited' stuff on social media, because that's all they're exposed to from her in many cases. They aren't going to go looking for other content because why would they?

Being a politician is all about how the public perceive you. Your 'policy' is mostly irrelevant. Surely you understand this?

Excuse me?? That is exactly what Donald doesn't do and in fact pushes back against advisers who suggests he does. Not sure why AOC or any pollie should therefore have to "fall into line". I actually think that the majority of people just want conviction pollies - ones who believe what they say. Although Trump lies a lot I think there's a block in his mind that actually believes what he is saying - therefore he says it with conviction. It's weird but he he is convincing despite lying. No way known could others get away with this though.
