geez, the democrats will struggle to justify that pardon especially with Biden continually saying he wouldn't do it, with Trump being a criminal as a big part of their campaign and all.

Imagine the uproar if Trump pardoned Baron for something.

Did you stock up on eggs and toilet paper?
Just tissues, and not the happy kind. Banning the great FK from bigfooty is like snatching the paint brush out of Leonardo Da Vinci's hands... like closing the theatre doors to William Shakespeare... like taking a sledgehammer to Wolfgang Mozart's piano m8.

With regards to the Hunter pardoning thing, I give Joe a pass on that. There's barely a parent in existence who wouldn't do the same, and Joe's had a rough year where he's been publicly embarrassed and probably feels at least partly betrayed by his own party. Previously stating that he wasn't going to do so makes it a bad look, and it's certainly unfair on anyone else who has faced punishments for similar crimes, but I don't think anyone here would've done any differently in his shoes.

Banned?

I was told you were going undercover and needed some help with street cred.

I think a large part of the reasoning (and I've heard this argued for weeks by legal experts) is that barely anyone else would face punishment - or at least not criminal conviction and almost certainly not imprisonment - for similar crimes.

It's still a bit awkward for the Bidens, given the previous announcement that he wouldn't pardon his son, but I guess he just got fed up with the lack of reciprocity in political decency.

100%. It’s definitely not a great look but most parents would do the same thing. I wouldn’t begrudge Trump for doing so either to his kids. Other individuals for other crimes etc is a different story.

Think this all has more scrutiny because of the whole democrats v republicans battle plus Joe probably worried about how he would be treated once Democrats transfer over.

We'd just expect it

The double standards from Trumpies is hilarious

i get your point but you can't exactly have a double standard for something that hasn't happened yet.....

Considering Donald gave 237 people pardons, including some who has now given positions to….. and he has stated he will pardon all those with the January 6 insurrection, please don’t tell me Hunter Biden is a different story!!!
Also Trump will pardon himself re J6 etc.

He also took cash for pardons from memory didn’t he?

This. The democrats keep being expected to behave like adults while Trump does whatever he wants and gets away with a life time of criminal behaviour. No surprise Biden’s now just gone ‘**** it’.

No, it’s no ok, they should all be held to the same level of accountability us normal folk would.

Roger Stone wasn't blood, but you can easily argue it was a much worse pardon for a longtime ally.

I don't disagree but it's a different situation IMO.

Yes, it's not his own blood and I also I don't recall Trump ever promising he wasn't going to pardon Stone and then reneging on that.

I'm not defending Trumps pardons persay - just saying it's not exactly a double standard.

All presidents have done it.
