You can hate Trump, or you can love Trump.

But Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do before he was elected.

And a majority of Americans voted for him and wanted these policies.

To get American industry back on its feet and to stop the Ukraine/Russia war.

The American economy cannot operate with trillions of debts and nothing to show for it except a relentless drive to stop free speech and indoctrinate the people into socialism and woke ideology that attempts to separate people into categories to fight against each other while the corrupt Democrat Party fill the pockets of their leaders. But why? The things he is doing is what he said he was going to do. Why vote for him in the first place if you didn't like those policies?

Trump is a choose your own adventure game, you get to decide what you think he says and means, or what he says and is joking about.

Seems like a lot of people thought tariffs would just be a negotiating threat - ignoring for a moment the repercussions of threatening your allies anyway - not that they'd actually be implemented.

Turns out Trump (and the Project 2025 cohort) actually do plan on doing a large chunk of the outrageous things that were said, that people voting for him decided were just threats, or spitballing, or were somehow figurative.

The best description I heard of the problem was that the Democrats rule for the upper-middle class and corporations, who have entirely captured that party. They value stability and the status quo of steadily increasing inequality and accumulation of wealth.

The Republican Party is now ruled by a much more narrow class and elite. They're trying to upend the system to not only shake money out of the poor, but also the middle class and corporations to create monopolies ruled by much fewer people with a lot more wealth.

That's always been the case, bar some exceptions(FDR and that's a stretch) and party swap

The days of globalism are thankfully over. America is looking after itself as it should.
