Correct. They've filed a petition in Bankruptcy Court to start a sale process to try to raise funds to pay off debt. The Californian Attorney-General has issued an advisory telling customers to delete their genetic data on the 23andMe's website.

They already sold access to their database to GlaxoSmithKline in 2018 to enable GSK to design new drugs.

The company, which provides its customers with saliva-based test kits to help them learn their ancestry, is seeking to sell its assets, which include users' DNA data.

I think they've probably become deluded enough to think that they're incredibly popular and would win any election handily and so would let it proceed. The Vance texts leaked in that chat are ones of someone who's thinking of messaging in an election, after all.

Mid Terms will be interesting as to voting rights as a 1st test of obstacles placed in front of the voter.

Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor in January 1933. In March 1933, he signed a decree granting immunity from punishment for those who committed politically motivated violent crimes in line with Nazism (for example, those who'd killed communists). Those involved in the Beer Hall Putsch were given famously lenient sentences and were, to my knowledge, all out of prison by 1925, let alone the 1930s.

The order stipulates that the Department of Homeland Security will coordinate with the administrator of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — which is unofficially led by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk — to "review each state's publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities."

"Elon Musk would now be in charge of the databases determining voter eligibility," Caraballo wrote.

"I don't say that the law won't stop this and elections won't matter because I'm a doomer. I'm saying this so people understand the moment we're in. We're no longer a democracy," she continued. "People need to accurately diagnose the problem before they can fix it and waiting for the courts or elections isn't it."
