Is there one on Ukraine? Syria? Sudan? AUKUS? Five-Eyes?

This was clearly not the first signal group chat that they had setup - everyone acted as if it was the most normal thing in the entire world. Hegseth even had an avatar setup.

It's illegal for these people to be using Signal to conduct official government business because it circumvents the record-keeping laws governing these type of discussions/planning at the executive level.

The whole thing is outrageous.

Reading the full Signal chat messages prior and during the US strikes on Yemen published by The Atlantic and reposted in various media outlets such as the NY Times gives a rare insight into the mentality of the top Trump administrators. While it's easy to laugh at just how dumb these people are it's also frightening to realise that these are the minds in charge of the most powerful arsenal on the planet.

The whole thing looks like an in-game chat between pimply faced adolescents holed up in their bedrooms.

I have a colleague in senior management where I work who used to work with Boeing and Rolls Royce, where they would have clients from the military where high level meetings were carried out with 4 Star Generals etc. He said that the people at these levels were ultra-serious and professional. Four US soldiers have died after an incident on a NATO training exercise in Lithuania, close to the border with Russian ally Belarus.
The four soldiers went missing in a training area near Pabradė in the country’s east on Tuesday.
The US Army in Europe and Africa initially said on Wednesday that the troops’ armoured vehicle had been found.
“The M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle the four missing US Soldiers were operating during a training exercise has been located in Lithuania,” it said in a statement.
“The vehicle was discovered submerged in a body of water in a training area after a search by US Army, Lithuanian Armed Forces and other Lithuanian authorities.
“Recovery efforts are underway by US Army and Lithuanian Armed Forces and civilian agencies”.
NATO chief Mark Rutte said in Warsaw that the four were dead.
“This is still early news so we do not know the details. This is really terrible news and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones,” he told reporters in Warsaw.
The US’ Lt Gen Charles Costanza, the V Corps commanding general, said he wanted to “po personally thank the Lithuanian Armed Forces and first responders who quickly came to our aid in our search operations”.
“It’s this kind of teamwork and support that exemplifies the importance of our partnership and our humanity regardless of what flags we wear on our shoulders.”
