Don't agree that he shouldn't have been the sub, but stop being hypocritical.
We couldn't get bat an eyelid when we got obviously done players to milestones and we have guys like Pickett, who we think we have to get to 100 games to get access to father-son's even though he's been putrid for two years??

Took the kickout when he came on, was that prearranged nor did the players step up for the kid to get him some action. I'm hoping it was he that kicked a beautiful long ball out at the end, the commentators had no clue who was who in the end.

He was Roy Keen to get out there and was quick and has a nice kick. Give him a proper game next week!

Not sure about “ deer in headlights “ , he looked to get involved, got caught once or twice, but what can you do in that short time? At least he tried to take it on.
I think we need to settle him into that small defender position, give him the opportunity to pick up the quicker pace of the game. I’m pretty confident he’s got the leg speed and contested game to be a player at AFL level.
And he’s not competing with Prestia or Bolton for a position. Imo he should be played in front of Short

Would have liked to see him come on halfway through the third or start of last quarter - could see we were running out of legs and could have done with his speed and energy earlier

LOL. If a bloke was so fragile to request a trade for debuting as sub we don't want them at the club anyway.
Kaleb would've been stoked to get on the field. He'll get his chance as a starter, probably on Thursday night.
It’s not only RFC that plays debutants as a sub.
I get why, but I absolutely hate it and my hope would be that the AFL ban the practice.

Parents got a free trip to Melbourne for the weekend to see their boy, in what world is that no a win regardless of playing a game of football. They will probably get another free trip when he makes his official debut.

What’s with all the whinging? So the Smith family get the chance to go and watch Kaleb play on the big stage which has probably been his dream since a little boy.
Yes, they went a long way but I’m sure they had a good chance to make it a little longer stay and spend some time with him before and after the game.
End of the day I’m sure he will get a full game before the season is out and whatever is in the best interests of the footy club comes first over any player.
Pretty sure most of us were happy at half time with the teams performance, trust in Yze.
