Yes, which I said in my original post. The point it this wasn't all media bs, there was definitely something to the story.
It's wasn't all media bs, but media jump to conclusions, the culture of Melbourne is to have had conversation about improving the team, media assume that hard conversation is about being mad and wanting out, but did the media have to release a news story saying the same thing everyday, that's the media pile on, you would think Melbourne is the only team that stars might want a trade

I think with channel 7 trying to run shows now against 9 and Fox I think there's gonna be an all time high of nothing stories because they need content

Thought he was excellent for his first real game in nearly 9 months.

Did anyone else get the feeling hes still sort of not feeling the club with his interview after the game? Could have just been that we lost a close one but he didnt seem like the Trac of the past regardless to me. (could also be that hes just matured and doesnt have that same sort of teenager energy anymore)

There was a couple rusty handballs to oppo players (But i'll still pass him for taking an offensive handball), but otherwise really good. One thing we often complained about before the injury is him needing to hit the scoreboard more, a couple of goals is a good return for that. Hopefully he continues to get back to where he was and beyond

I expect him to try and leave again if we suck but what he displayed on field shows hes leaving it all out there. Had some great unrewarded chase efforts and that's enough for me.

I agree, nothing wrong with his play or anything to indicate he would want out on the field. Just going off his vibe in the interview.

He's been talking a lot about how he wants to guide the next group through and maybe he's matured? Idk talk is talk.
I haven't seen the recent one but pretty much all his interviews since the injury have felt different. Suppose a near death experience would mature anyone.

He's having the time of his ****ing life mate. He signed a good long contract with Melbourne Demons and he'll see it out and he'll love every ****in' minute of it. The fact he sacked Paul Conners as his agent because the Superstar Big Dick Player Agent couldn't get a trade across means nothing. He's a Demon for life whether he likes it or not.

Got the exact same feeling as well.

I'm not sure if I got that from the interview.

He looked bloody switched on during the game and some of his defensive efforts were A+. In game actions are probably a better indicator than an interview where he probably would feel a bit sheepish with how last year played out.

Doesn't mean he won't try and leave again, especially if we are garbage.
