5 Things you want to happen at Collingwood next Season

(2) Thomas to be starting Mid next year and to improve
(3) Pies to go hard this Trade period and recruit Mids
(4) Didak and Cousins to be in the Black and White next year
(5) Wood, Cook, Stanley, Reid, McCarthy, to all be in the starting 22 next year by earning there spot with a massive pre season and taking the next step

What do you guys think thats what i would love to see next year

My list is pretty similar to others:

1. Thomas and Wellingham as permanent midfielders after big pre-seasons with their mentor and fellow magpie Cousins.
2. Wood as 1st ruck enabling Josh to remain injury-free and wreak havoc in a 2nd ruck role and up forward.
3. Ben Reid at CHB.
4. Rusling/Dawes/Anthony to provide quality support up front so that Cloke and Medhurst are not double or triple-teamed.
5. The emergence of McCarthy, Barham and our 1st round draft pick as quality midfield options.

1. Continue playing games at Telstra Dome and making them "pre-ticketed" the week before the game.
2. Do nothing about the clubs swindling average fans wanting to see their team in a grand final by insisting that the annual allocation of grand final tickets remain so we can flog em off to corporates.
3. Sack the next person that suggests we buy into pubs.
4. Secure a 7th coaches box sponsor.
5. Plow even more money into scouting more Brazilians and Irish lads to smokescreen the fact that we're still paying for the Judkins/Shackleton/Roach era.

1. Fraser, Pendles, O'Brien, Cloke and Leon pushing for AA honours.
2. An injury free year for Rusling, Presti and Rocca.
3. Break out years from the likes of Wood, Goldsack and Reid.
4. The emergence of another 3 or 4 debutants who look like they belong.
5. Top 4 finish.

If this occurred we wouldn't need to wish for a flag......

You have all listed things you WANT to happen as the thread title says .. With the chance of gettin my head ripped off I will now list 5 things that if they happen Collingwood will be premiers in 2009

1. Get Cousins relatively easily in PSD

2. Ben Reid to have the year Collingwood has been waiting for injury free and shows why he is rated so highly down there.

3. Draft Sidebottom or one of the really good first round mids that could easily fill a place in the team occupied by a weaker link (cook toovey whoever else)

4. Clear all the deadwood (Holland Lonie Wakelin Iles Egan Johnson etc) blokes that are no longer in the best 22 and trade aggressively for a thomson or a young midfielder in the same age bracket as the young stars of the club (21 - 22)

5. Keep Didak and Heath Shaw, unless you can get something really good from Adelaide for Didak like one or two of the young Vic Midfielders in Chris Knights or Brent Reilly as they fit Collingwoods needs.

I'm open for criticism but If Cousins Shaw Didak Reid and Sidebottom are all in Collingwood's best 22 players (not coz of injury) come finals next year they will be the signs of a premiership.
