Haha we have problems for sure mate barely any of our own doing. You just keep your problems aka Ken.If he has another so so year, there is no way 2 firsts will be offered. If the rumors surrounding Bonner are true, there is another decent pick on the horizon which could be used to satisfy WC (or at least make it look like we tried). 8 +8-12(2023)+27 is a massive bounty. It's miles over the points calculator for pick 1 and is clearly placing a premium on the fact he is still in contract. If he wants out uncontracted, you can just delete one of those 1st rounders. They will ask for 2 firsts + all the names you would expect and they wont get them. The only player that I would think would even agree to come is Bergman because of his brother. There is no reason for us to offer 2x1sts + Bergman without something hefty coming back. No player has gone for more than 3x 1sts. The rules around trading make it basically impossible to do it so that is basically the ceiling, no matter the contract or ability. 2x1st + 2nd is basically 1 step below Judd/Cameron trades. 25 yr old Neale didn't go for as much. Cerra didn't go for as much. Basically anyone that has paid that much for a player has regretted it.
The posturing and 'hur hur lets ask for butters +8+F1' isn't dealing with reality, because a) we don't do it and b) it gives us an out as to why we couldn't make the trade happen. That's the first thing that gets relayed back to JHF. None of that translates into North keeping him post 2023 or getting more for him next year. North aren't in a window, and they are very unlikely to keep him (and they likely know this). If we tickle their nuts a bit, they do a deal, because it's in their interest to. If North's recruiting team were as emotional as the people in here, North have more problems than anyone realizes.
Might have misread the 'not in the window' part which is true. A deal will get done and I'm cautiously optimistic we'll get a fair price.
You're coming into an opposing sides page, immediately after their number 1 pick from last year has quit on the side, and arguing because not everyone is complete level headed. Long time Magic fan here. May both our ascents be swift.Rockets basketball starts tomorrow for 2022-23. Feel free to join me riding the highs and lows of a cellar dweller with some top picks who WON’T QUIT.

The most excitement your club has had since 04 was barracking for Geelong last week to break the unbreakable 119 record GF margin that your deplorable club will hold for the rest of time.
Now f*** off with your prison bars back to the SANFL pansy.
Enlighten me with the comeback. I’m all ears big fellaIf we were on the main board, I might have felt inclined to return with interest. Given we're not, and the last 2-3 years you've had, I understand why you are taking it more emotionally than is healthy for an adult and why you would leave yourself open to such an obvious comeback. I'll leave you to it.

Was high on Paolo, thought we were getting Paolo, so will be watching with interest. Think we’re both lucky we avoided Chet.Long time Magic fan here. May both our ascents be swift.
Not mad at all.sorry, JHF has more talent in his pinky.
just because he's leaving doesn't make him less talented, and certainly less talented than TT. i know you're mad, but please...
Tim Kelly was two firsts and two seconds. At he was 24/25 years old. Jason is 19 so has his whole footy career ahead of him.If he has another so so year, there is no way 2 firsts will be offered. That soap opera is nearly over for us. I was hopeful but expecting another year of rumours that he will be leaving. It’s a weird feeling. Normally I’d expect to be upset after this sort of news, but I’m completely ok with it. The only negative is the bad look of the number 1 pick wanting out after just one season. But that will be soon forgotten. The reality is he was never the right fit, never looked like he wanted to be here and these sorts of players can be cancerous around the club.
We hold the upper hand in the trade and if no deal can be reached it is he who has burned bridges and has backed himself into a corner.

Oh, and he's under contract, so if you want him, ya gotta pay.

That's pretty soft compared to what we normally say about each other.
It was 87 points actually. Forgot you spanners can’t count.Eh ... i've had other accounts banned so why not. You're talking tough when you're the worst established team to play, almost ever. By your own metric you haven't been successful longer than us. You've had 4 coaches in 3 years and the your great white hope might be banned or sacked before he ever coaches you and the player you thought was going to lead you out of the mire wants out after 1 year playing for you. You've tried for years to massively overpay stars to come and play for you, none of which have agreed, so you went and tried to grab a decent player in Polec, who we knew was close to cooked, which is why we wouldn't offer him 5 years, and you've been paying him 700k to play VFL for years. That and in the 2007 finals series that you think was so embarrassing for us, Geelong beat you by 106 points and then we knocked out out by beating you by 77 points. Does that just about cover it?
Apologies to the other North supporters as I am actually not trying to troll anyone but a couple of people are asking for it.
8,27 2023 first rounder and a player of some value, tbh I just don’t know what player we would want that would want to come
Everyone laughs, except for Geelong. Also one of the worst trades ever that everyone laughs over to this day. Tim Kelly also had actual form where he was actually a star.
