Screw Port like they do eveyone else. Two first round picks and Connor Rozee or Xavier Duursma 🤎">#💛🤎

Refunds all round for those who purchased JHoreFrancis jumpers I say, then bend Port over and Rheem them so hard without using a Continental “rubber” tyre whilst using Spicy Mc Spice on the “rubber”…!!

Haven't read all the comments, so might have been mentioned, but I'd tell Port pick 2 from the Eagles is the starting point. Don't care how you do it, but don't bother calling till that's on the table, then we'll negotiate.

If they can't, he can sook in Melbourne for another 12 months. Don't have any sympathy for either JHF or Port if no deal done.

So he's a little fish after all.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out

Yeah it seems like it. Talked a big talk about wanting to be the #1 pick in a national competition. Could have realistically had a lengthy career here, forged a legacy for himself and tested himself outside of his home state, become a legend and a big fish

Instead it will be 10-15 years of being 15 minutes from mum, playing in a two-team town where he'll never have to buy a beer in any number of shit tin pot pubs. Small fish big pond shit. So disappointing but if that's the decision he's made then so be it

I personally think Francis has been in his ear since day one and would have a fair bit of responsibility here. Nah nah young fella it's all good, play your first year out then come back home to your mother and me, we'll get you a bunch of speaking gigs at the Murray Bridge RSL on sportsman's nights, I'll waive my usual fee and just take 20% of your appearance cost instead, it'll be sweet

Onto Port - #8 & 2023 1st doesn't get it done if the Pear finish anywhere outside of bottom 4. Turn that #8 into a top 5 pick, or tack Sinn/Butters onto the deal. JHF is a 19yo #1 a year removed from being drafted. You'll get 10-15 years of high level footy out of him now that he can see his mum whenever he likes, this is not Ben Jacobs or Jared Polec. He's also contracted & they've offered him 3.2m over four years. They want him and you've gotta give something good to get something good. If Brady ****s this up, he's gone

It could be but I really doubt it has anything to do with it, just media hype.

The bloke wanted to go home, sooked it up because we were losing and now apparently it’s all because of Clarko uncertainty naaah.

He just always wanted out.

Shame is as supporters we became invested in him as our next saviour.

Add to that the poxy Arse-instance picks we got now means we are even worse off.

Time for the AFL to up the ante!!!

What time is the ceremonial burning of all the #6 puma jumpers sold in 2022 happening?

He sooked all year and most here, including me, defended him.

Fcuk him!

Time to pony up SA clubs.

Yeah and correctly retrospectively award the best 1st year player award to paul curtis. Cant beleive he didnt get it in the first place.

In happier news

Any opposition fans coming in here to troll with the likes of "this aged well" or similar, will just straight up get one day bans. For those of us who celebrate, which is basically anyone who's a big enough nuffy to post on BF, it's the first day of trade eon, so please consider whether you'd like to be posting for the next 24 hours before you come here and troll the board

Should make JHF pay it our of the $10K he got when we did what he wanted and made him the number 1 pick. Also, while we are feeling spiteful, we should send him an invoice for the free haircut he got after Kangalotto!

I'm not trying to stir the pot too much but I would like to ask if any of you have ever left a job after working there for a year or less?

I'm probably about to go through that situation now for the first time in my adult life and would like to share my perspective. Obviously the news has only just broke and feelings are raw, I can imagine that it's been a testing time recently to be a North Melbourne supporter and you would have had high hopes Jason was going to be part of a group of players that would turn your fortunes around. It's extremely disappointing in that sense I totally understand it, if Butters requested a trade this year I'd almost be done with football I think and we've enjoyed far more success on-field recent years than your club so I imagine some of you will nearly be at breaking point.

I consider myself a pretty loyal person, I've never left a job on bad terms and have always committed at least 2 years, my first job I worked at for 6 years. I started my current job in May and it has been an extremely testing workplace for a number of reasons. I'm a chef working in Switzerland and have worked the summer season here this year with the most amateur organisation and co-workers I have ever encountered. I work with just 2 other cooks in a busy restaurant and there has been so many times I've wanted to just walk out the door and never come back, I can't even begin to describe it. One of the other guys is literally the most disgusting human being and 'chef' I've ever worked with. He drinks every shift, just a few weeks ago he had 14 beers on a sunday evening whule we were working, at one point he had 4 different beers set up around the kitchen, one in the fridge, one on the pizza section, one by the desserts and one in my area. Needless to say he was absolutely useless and I did almost all of the work. I cleaned the whole kitchen and went home, came back the next morning to find he'd been smoking in the kitchen after I'd left and just ashed his cigarettes straight on to my workbench and not even bothered to clean it up. I reported it to the boss the next day and all I got was 'yeah I know he's challenging sometimes, but it's hard to find staff at the moment so I can't really do anything about it' Another time he took a three hour break during lunch service, came back to get himself some chips and went back outside to continue his break, which led the 'head chef' to just walk out and go home, again leaving me there to do kitchen a la carte, pizzas, and desserts on a busy Sunday. I confronted him about it the next day saying how uncool it was, and how I actually couldn't believe that something like that was okay to him. And like I said earlier, those two incidents don't even scratch the surface of the whole thing, but out of my blind and probably stupid loyalty I've stuck it out this long for some reason, when I could literally walk into any restaurant tomorrow and probably have a job by the time I walked out.

Sorry to bore you with my personal situation, but needless to say this is one of the worst places I've ever worked, and coming from working at some really well respected restaurants both here and back in Australia, I can see this place is not worth staying at anymore. I don't feel like I'm betraying them at all by leaving after 8 months, but for me its become untenable for me to stay.

I don't mean any disrespect to North Melbourne at all here, these are just the indisputable facts - you have won the wooden spoon two years in a row now, your coaching situation is in limbo, you have one of the lowest attendance records in the league, and have gone through 3? coaches in just the last 2 years or so. I can imagine as a player that was considered to be the best player in his draft year, for some it would be a difficult pill to swallow to go to the worst performing club and arguably in turmoil off-field too while your peers enjoy more success. For him, he may feel that he can't get the best out of himself at your club and his career will be better served developing at a club that has a more stable regime, with the added bonus of having family and friends just down the road, so to speak. Especially with the added pressures of the media that have gone pretty hard at him all year. If he doesn't feel like he's been supported by his employer, then can we really blame him for wanting to go and work somewhere else?
If he's hurting inside and mentally he's not coping, what do North really have to gain by keeping him there against his will?

I do hope that both clubs come to an amicable agreement and I'm sure it's not our intention to bend you over at the trade table and offer you peanuts. He's obviously highly rated and I fully expect the trade to reflect that. It wasn't that long ago Port was in nearly the same situation that you find yourselves in now, things can turn around quickly and no one knows what the future holds. I just don't think it's entirely fair to just instantly put the whole blame on him and call him a soft**** etc... although it's entirely within your rights, just don't think it really reflects the bigger picture here.

Yeah I’d put a little bit broader parameters on it but pick 8 is not a high enough starting point.

I’d be wanting 3 picks including a top 4 pick.

We need to use this trade as the ability to rebalance the list.

Port have obviously been into the kid for a long time they are giving him significant coin we will need significant compensation.

Ultimately it’s just another kick in the guts.
