I know the club would never do this but I’d love it if we just said to the turd, “no you’re staying here and will be playing VFL reserves next year” just to ****ing demoralise and shatter the prick.
It’s becoming very clear now that it was all planned and stage managed months ago, Paul Pogba style. But at least he was France’s best player when they won the World Cup 4 years ago. This shithead is so full of himself.

Sorry, but gee l'm pi$$ed like the rest of you.

My club getting reamed by all in Sunbury.

All l can see is years of more pain.

Come on Homer Junior. We'll cash in, hopefully Clarko is back and then add some talent in the draft after bringing in at least Logue and probably one or two others.

Turning one asset into three at a point where we need to right list balance.

It is amusing to see so many people up in arms that a player choosing to return to their home state has chosen their preferred club of choice. Literally every single bloody trade surrounding homesickness has the individual player selecting their preferred club. 10 clubs in Victoria but Dangerfield only nominated Geelong, Judd nominated Carlton, Tom Boyd nominated the Bulldogs, Taranto nominated Richmond etc.

Even if you could trade a player to the best offer within a designated state, I find it hard to imagine that the Crows would find the necessary draft capital to put up in such a trade given theyre already giving up this year's first round pick for Rankine.

Not entirely surprising he has requested a trade in light of the Clarkson stuff coming out. Regardless of whether or not you believe the allegations made against Clarko, what matters in this scenario is what is going through the player's head. If he believes them, then you've got a case of a kid from South Australia who was already homesick compounded by potentially having a coach who has been accused of racism towards indigenous players - and his step dad is indigenous. Not exactly hard to put the dots together in this instance.

There is to be had a debate surrounding the merit of players putting in trade requests after 1 year in the AFL system. It is ridiculous. The power is with the players far too much. I have long been an advocate for 4 year entry contracts (standard 2 year deal with two additional 1 year team options), and players should be able to be traded without consent even if contracted provided the team trading for said player is willing to pick up the tab for said contract (just like it is done in the US major sports).

I'll be surprised if this deal drags out. Has been in the works for a few days and North were aware of it and have been talking to Port for a short while prior to their statement coming out last night. All of this bravado about Rawlings talking to the Crows trying to get the best deal and demanding more than 2 first round picks or he stays another year is nothing more than window dressing to appease an angry supporter base. The deal will get done. Port want it to happen, and privately you'll find North want the headache gone as well.

jurassic park deal with it GIF

So we flip this to a Wardlaw (a gun lock JHF replacement now) plus a possible Sheezel/Cadman or Sinn/ Bergman with 2023 first round. You take that as a good hand and fair swap. Port will need to trade down for an early 2022, pick 8 is not good enough. Or they give up a quality player. Wardlaw is ours oh my with LDU.

It's not me mate, I love the club.

FWIW I was having a raging meltdown after the Bulldogs drubbing earlier this year that things couldn't get any worse and you posted that things were pretty, pretty bad in the 60s but not as bad as now. I took that one on board and am holding on to it as it framed a lot of perspective.

Today isn't fun, but things can change quickly. Being married to a GoDees supporter I've seen that first hand with the Mark Knight poster on the wall that's now next to my WEGs.😏

Crap day, but we move on. As my mate who sits next to me in the North End texted "Sonia will sort it" Maybe not at the trade table, but there's more to like about our future than dwelling too much on a homesick kid pulling the pin.

Who better not drive home through Sunbury 😡

Look, I'm not saying Jason is soft, but Patrick Cripps has had five coaches in 159 games, has won only 31% of games played, never played in a final, has a partner with a debilitating illness, and is from a small country town that's six hours on a plane and another hour by car away from where he lives now. And has four B&Fs and a Brownlow.

And the love and respect of a club for life.

Taranto just went to Richmond for 12 & 19.

8 & F1 is fair.

8 & F1 then maybe a late 3rd or pick upgrade is more than fair for JHF.

8 & F1 & some of the players being bandied around here is just not gonna happen.

You tapped up a contracted 19yo who hasn’t even finished his first contact. This deal will be going in our favour whether you and your port mates like it or not. If we want 8 + F1 + Player we’ll get it, there may be a little more on our end but we will get what we want. Or he’ll be back here next year and we will deal with the fall out next year.

Apparently it could pick 8 f1 and Riley bonner.

he’s had a really good year tbh
