At least Joe should be happy in Brisbane, and they have a great medical team, so there's a better chance they'll get his body right. Best forward we've had since Lloyd, though, so it's a shame things didn't work out.

Rather beat hawks than pick 4 serious.Other side of it. He doesn’t do that. We lose, we’ve now got pick 4 instead
Sadly a lot of the rest have been Saad or McKenna related. The best parts of being an Essendon fan the last 6-7 years I daresay have been majority Joe-related.

As much as we now have a chance to do a reset due to compensation from the departures it does leave a massive "what if" thing buzzing around in the back of the mind.
You n me both brotherRather beat hawks than pick 4 serious.
^^This in spades.I'm just exhausted by it all. Glad it's over and glad we got pick 7. It's the right move for all involved but it'll still hurt seeing him play in another jumper.
I certainly won't be wishing him the best. He's lost my respect. To leave without repaying the club after the time, effort in his recovery and big unfulfilled last contract shows his lack of character.Devoed its finally happened but kind of relieved it's over.
I'll still be following his career rather closely and wish him the best...
