I really like Petrie, and I'm not going to write him off, but when he's in the ruck, we get belted.

Just an all round dissapointing match tonight :mad:

Why is he in the ruck? Should be greasing the pine.

Its not good enough to win games early and then drop games that we should win.Now is the time to see wat we are made off and see who has the guts to make tuff decisions.Drop Petrie that has to happen and bring in players that will work hard.

Weak performance.

Wells = soft

Sinclair = soft

I think this is becoming very obvious that Wells is soft and we need him to toughen up.

Poor night.

Smith did a couple of good things.

Yeah what has Wells be doin he has not done much this year and for a player that can do so much we need him to stand up.I thought he migt came on better this year but it has not happened.We drop Watt and who do we have to take his spot.Baird has to get a game next week and we need another ruckman in the seniors.Shocking game after leading by 20 points the same old story with us i must say.

WTF. I think he had 6 touches and they all went straight to the dogs.

One good tackle and that was it. Still I hope they give him another game to show his stuf. And give the big H another go when Drew gets the drop.

The thing that disappoints me the most about Drew at the momemt is that he gets the third tall defender and he still can't get a kick. His disposal is poor, in fact his best kicks are off one step. Very frustrating to watch at the moment. He needs to go back and get a heap of the ball. With McKernan going down at Port perhaps he could play the game as a ruckman and change with H, unless H gets a run next week!!

One strong mark on the HBF.

This kid is gonna be a gem.

I would like to congratulate him on a first class game.
Disposal let him down a few times, but it seemed he had to do everything.
He was taking marks, getting crumbs, offering run.
Pity few others could be bothered doing anything.

Alot of the players should get Shannons bank account details and send their player payment cheques to him. More than a few players should be ashamed of there efforts this year.

I'd be happy to supply my bank details and get something back for the FAITH in the tipping comp. Have paid the price by conceding the lead and lost ground since. :mad: I WANT & DESERVE compensation ! Wrath has been shafted also. I'd personally pass on 50% onto a worthwhile charity >> if I was playing << some players these days have NO HEART. Every club has them.

He has been great every yr since coming across from the Swans. Thats how a win win trade works. Thats why teams like Collingwood and Essendon to a small degree dont get ready made stars to their clubs. They overpay and way way over rate their players . Didak for Nick Stevens a perfect example. North do trade well this way but we also give plenty .

Considering you guys are having a top year, especially Shannon Grant, can he win the Brownlow?? He's currently showing $67 on Sportingbet. I remember early on he was going really well.

Does he have a good record in the Brownlow??

Just 7 votes last year, 51 in his career.

scotty.. how many of those 7 were in the first 3 rounds when no one manned him up??
He has been instrumental in the results we have got so far this year (similar to the first 3 rounds last year!)

Yep Shannon Grant would have a good chance
I think he would poll in about 5 matches and would be on about 10-15 Votes
I think Boomer would also have a good chane
I say Boomer would poll in atleast 5 matches too
So id say Boomer would be on about 10-15 too

2 That have a Good Chance in my opinion from the Kangaroos :)

As much as I'd like to back Shagga in, I feel he flows in & out of games too often, may get a couple 3 votes at best and scrap in with a few 1 votes which isn't enough to take home Charlie. Try Akermanis.

Funny you should mention Akermanis. During the mid-'90's, Akermanis had become a little dis-enchanted at Brisbane & I did mention to my colleagues what a great pick-up he would be. But, the rest is history I suppose. He has the best opposite foot in the business. Yeah, I agree, Brownlow medal for Aker. What about those idiotic punters that plunged Cameron Bruce after Rnd 3???? Are these the same morons who think J Brown will win the Brownlow, despite the fact he missed the 1st 6 weeks???? Are these the same jerbronies who see a player play a good final & then start talking his Brownlow chances up?????

I recall Peter Knights who was a Superstar CHB for the Hawks in the 70's & 80's only playing half a season and missing by a vote to Malcolm Blight in 1978. J Brown isn't without a chance. Bruce seems to have close to 9 votes sealed already and with a few more B.O.G.'s u know he may have enough to get awfully close. Doesn't talkback to umps helps. I still think the AFL MVP is the better award. North don't have obvious vote catchers with 'the umps' and I recall Makepeace bobbing up with a few 3 votes to spoil our ' BF favoured vote getter' chances. Massive lottery.
