Pretty sure he was named AA in Def, Fwd and as mid.

He was named HF in 2003 so I think the midfield nom is a bit of a stretch.

Fantastic and versatile player, but when you've got a key forward who kicks 60-70-70-60 goals in 4 years I'd love to know the thought process that says 'hey lets play him in the middle'.

Remember the old, Darling to the middle..

Congrats to the big #17. Still love him from when he was the big #5.
He seems to be one of those players that supporters of all clubs have a soft spot for.

An absolute champion, but not big headed. Has always played the game fairly, not staging (Jack R, thinking of you), diving, continually arguing with the umpires etc.
Not one of those divisive figures that regularly get booed by opposition supporters.

He will be a loss to the game but goes out a champion.

He was your number 1 ruckman when he was in the #5 wasn’t he?😂
Desperate times, but that might have been to get a touch - it's not like the ball made it to our forward line that often.

At VFL level, he had no worries - flew for marks and was unstoppable because of his timing and reach. We knew he had quality.

Glad it worked out for him because it wasn't a happy parting.
