Great article Leigh, as a non-WA Docker myself I'm all to familiar with the pain and intermittent joy of watching this side on the road over the years.

And it is a good point about this being our first ever regular season final in Melbourne - the mainstream press has overlooked that a bit.

Can't wait for tonight - such a change in feeling from the apprehension of games at the G for our games in the 90s...

Great read. I also enjoyed the link to the East Coast Eagles v Fitzroy Dockers game. I am contemplating a move to Melbourne next year (for work) and would definitely want to be a part of that.

Good read, everything rings true except the Danny Green being a supporter reference. Danny seems to have jumped ship to the Eagles, either that or he waivers back and forth. Not good enough to be called a Freo supporter I'm afraid.

I agree DockersMad -- except I saw him chatting and talking with boys at the MCG yesterday (hanging with Barlow and Balla) -- so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Used to play footy with Danny, he's definitely Eagle, as said above, with his profile he gets in the frame with the Dockers a fair bit.

Can't agree with Eagles deserving '06 AT ALL. Tainted premiership secured by a drug-frenzied midfield, who built endurance as part of their crazed train-play-annihilate drugs psychology and reward system while Rome burned in the coaches box. Lost their first final against Sydney at home, which if they had won, would have meant being knocked out by us next. Had the biggest get out of jail ever again Adelaide the next week, when the crows could/would not put them away with poor kicking. That game should have been over at half-time. And then won by a point in the big one. Arsiest flag ever, and still expect it to be rescinded at some point.
