Ablett having the game of his life

He's battling his heart out and doing more than his part, but he hasn't been damaging, has one a lot of pill, but there's either nowhere to go or no one to give it to.

Geelong just don't have runners. They don't appear to have a recognisable gameplan. They handball backwards to stationary guys, without anyway trying to break a line with their feet and make Collingwood actually tackle one on one. Granted Collingwood's pressure may be at the highest level I've ever seen, but seriously, no one other than Wojcinski has tried to really take the 'pies pressure on and not just let them corral him. The only good passages they've had all night have come from this.

Geelong look like an old, slow, one-sided football team that can't overcome the defensive energy of Collingwood.

Just quietly, a bloke called Dane Swan has had 20 touches as well. 3 tackles and a goal.

He goes ok for a bloke not worth tagging who doesn't hurt the opposition...

Mate, it's common knowledge that Swan is a brilliant footballer. Anybody with half a clue who's watched him play this season (or last) would attest to that fact.

Fxxk me your guys no Fxxk all about footy abletts a joke no influance at all have a look a swan and tell me he is not the best player in the AFL

I think the purpose was to show that Ablett is not a downhill skier and still goes hard and even harder as the game appears to be slipping away.

Swan is playing awesomely well no doubt but if you think Abletts a joke than stop telling the rest of us that know fk all about football.

Anyone that says Ablett is a downhill skier know nothing about the game. He has been nothing short of amazing in this game and the only cats player who shouldn't be ashamed at half time.

His disposals haven't been super effective but that is because he is pretty much the only one flying the flag. He is under the pump as soon as he gets the ball and he has no mates out there.

He's been phenomenal.

Hard to have too much of an influence when you get the ball, look up and are surrounded by the Collingwood press.

Damn right.

Immense game by GazJnr tonight, he has been almost the only Cats playing to have a crack, and while his touches haven't been perfect, he's been the one guy constantly working his arse off to make the contest, win the ball... and then have nothing to do with it.

Great game, will leave the Cats will his head held high, and nobody able to say he was anything but completely committed to them this year.

Hell of a footballer, but even more respect for him after tonight.

How many of his 25 touches have been pointless handballs over his head?

2???
Its not his fault no other Geelong player is moving or running for the ball, so he can pass it

:thumbsu: Respect for Ablett - not a harder working geelong player out there.
