The question is If we go bottom 4 this season does Simmo have enough credits in the bank to survive it. Reckon there's a bit of pressure. We did win the premiership in 2018 but it's been 4 years since then so I'd say those credits are spent now.
Does he survive beyond this season if the wheels fall off.

It depends. If we are in freefall maybe. No one wants to be in freefall you know!
Since the 2018 premiership we've won one final at home against Essendon, lost to Geelong in Melbourne and lost to Collingwood in that 2020 Elimination Final.
He's been here a while now since 2014, this will be his 9th season I think it's time to try someone else.

Nisbett may also be in trouble. Our off field performance was shocking in the last 12 months and it is clear he cut too much due to panicking about COVID. If Simmo goes, his contract extension will also have to be looked at due to the payout involved.

I actually just wanted to post the Gif. I have real reservations about the team and game plan and last night was atrocious (albeit a scratchie). I saw nothing positive last night from a game plan or intensity perspective. But hope next week is an improvement (without any confidence it will be). Don’t think we have the cattle regardless but Intensity should be non-negotiable.

Not sure why the Simpson fanboys are up in arms about this thread. 100+ losses came regularly last year, spent big on assistant coaches, talked the talk, now years of shambolic recruiting (half backs and mids who can’t get the ball) showing there is no youth coming through with any quality. Combine this with an inability to change game plan over 3 years.

Seems like we are stuck in third gear constantly.
He's never had to do a full rebuild, you could say 2017/2018 was a mini rebuild and the gaps that were filled helped us to a premiership.
The rebuild should have already started, now we will be a year behind the likes of Adelaide, North etc. Hurn, Kennedy really shouldn't be here this year and the likes of Gaff and a few others would have been better to have moved on.
