You don’t believe Teflon Trevor has caused as much damage as Hird? Certainly has had a hand in effecting many more lives a heck of a lot more seriously than Hird.

Am I reading too much into your last sentence? Has he had a serious adverse affect on your life? There has to be an explanation for your constant vitriol directed at Nisbet and the Club you, supposedly, support.

Do we really need to list from mainwaring through to Kerr and all the big house visitors and other petty crimes occurred on his watch??
Yes hird effected his players at the time, most came back and Hird shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a club again however how Teflon Trev survives through our issues and at least two events where he said he would finish up is beyond wonder.

Pretty sure Trev should be arrested for his crimes against humanity. He’s to blame for everything that’s befallen anyone even slightly associated with the club going back to 1987.
Peter Melesso was working as a bouncer at the pub when David Hookes was killed, can we blame Trev for that somehow?

Name the 34 whose lives have been ruined by Hird outside of missing a year of footy…
Stacking those 34 up alongside an arsonist, numerous drug addicts, ex cons and criminals though I guess I can see who has had a bigger effect.

This is just astounding.
One bloke running a doping regime that directly resulted in 34 athletes receiving 12 month bans

Being the CEO of a sporting organization that has, over a couple of decades, had a larger than average number of players go off the rails after their playing days ended and they left said organization.
Even Mrs Hird would agree that one of those is more culpable than the other. No rationally minded person could possibly argue the other way.
Yet here we are.
Jeezus Mate. Shall we blame him for pushing Humpty Dumpty off the wall.
Our guys who went off the rails did so in their own time with no encouragement from Trev. Not so much the essendon saga where players were ENCOURAGED to take peds.
Remember the motto? WHATEVER IT TAKES from the Essendon mob? Well they took it with a large push from Hird and friends.
I have not posted for a while but will make an exception for someone who posts ALL the time just to kick the club.

tbh other than the distracting hyperbole of the Hird comparison, the point does stand that Nesbit has remained in power after multiple club crises - in a way that feels decidedly more rusted-on than you would typically expect in a professional sports organisation.
He’s not the pariah, and might not even be a very naughty boy, but I feel like there’d be a fair bit less tension about the club’s situation if there was a clear succession plan.

Dad says I have to write up an application if I want to be Mr Bossman and do it as an oral application - but I told him that oral presentations are a massive jip coz not only do you have to write it down but then do the public speaking! That's double the work! At first he got angry but then he took a moment to consider it and said he likes my "cost saving moxy" and he bought me an ice-cream and I went back to playing Fortnight.
