When so many were asking ‘Where’s Nezzy?’ after our beltings, he bobs up after our best recent performance with a whole lot of empty platitudes.

Unseen in the bad times but wants a slice of the (relatively) good times.

Sorry but too little too late. Or rather SFA too late.

Amazing that Nisbett was almost completely silent through arguably the toughest patch we've had in the club's history in recent weeks, leaving the communication up to Simpson and Fitzpatrick. Yet the week after our best showing on-field for as long as anyone can remember, the club releases a video of Nisbett singing everyone's praises, including the fans. Where were you when things weren't going well Trev? It really is just laughable at this point.
Feels a bit like Pirates of the Caribbean when the Governor comes out of hiding after the battle is over to celebrate.

Stuart Dew would be a great acquisition to the coaching panel if he wanted to join us, and we could afford him (stuff the soft cap)
Thoughts?

So King Nissie I is now giving us a weekly video update of how we performed on the field. He is joining Paul Fitzpatrick in telling us 9 months ago how we have a great list and will be bouncing back immediately and be knocking on the door of finals.

This guy is starting to give me the sh1ts. He is hardly in a position to tell the supporters what is happening on the field. He has never coached or played at an elite level. When the administrators start thinking they know about football, the club is in trouble.

The guy is obviously floundering and not aware of what he needs to be doing as CEO. Next thing we will be seeing he and the rest of the suits walking around Optus on Sunday handing out match day balls to the crowd.

It’s solely to counter the “why haven’t we heard from Trev?” narrative that the West and co were running with following the Sydney debacle (and earlier).

So now we’ve heard from Trev twice in two weeks. He hasn’t said anything, but we’ve heard from him.

He was the football manager for 10 years so probably knows a little bit about football. Plenty of reasons to get rid of him, not sure not knowing anything about football is one of them.

Big difference between commenting about on-field performance and off-field administration. Sure he knows about football operations but leave the critique of player development and game day strategy to others who know better.

Why does he not bring up the issue of how we are going in the recruitment of a new S&C head? What about the investigations into the training ground surface (Wyatt spoken to people atafter the game against Saints)? What about the issue of a poor decision in how we are structured in the WAFL?

He can leave Simmo to the football playing stuff and stick to what he knows.

Next week, I expect he comes out in song with the Mary song from Jesus Christ Superstar. "Try not to get worried, try not to turn onto problems that upset you, don't you know everything is alright yes everything is fine .........

Next thing will be Karl Langdon with the microphone at half time trying to get the fans to stand up and sing along with him to a rendition of :

"If you're happy and you know it clap your hands"

Actually - thinking about it, that would be about on par with the current entertainment. Just a bit more upbeat than throwing beanbags into a hole and dance cam.

The Suns schooling WCE with today's move. Imagine being able to sack an underperforming coach? Perhaps we could send a delegation to the Suns to learn how they managed it.

Six month cap on the contract payout no doubt helped.

Dew's done nothing with the Suns in 6 years.

Bit of a different story.

Hardly think the Suns are schooling the WCE but they certainly have jumped on the front foot and said we want to be at the front of the line for best available coach. Meanwhile we are still thinking our Master of getting hidings is sitting pretty as our head coach.

Lol you consider what they did as smart or effective. Sacking a coach during the season when the team is still in finals contention?

You must consider Richmond's decision to retain Hardwick when he hadn't won a final in 6 odd years and had regressed and missed finals in 2016, as horrendous and weak management.

Not saying that Simmo shouldn't be scrutinised come the end of the year but in GC case you've got to ask how many coaches they've got to sack before maybe they start thinking the problem lies elsewhere. Especially mid way through the season two days after backing in the coach, absolute basket case of a club

Yes, by all means let’s follow the lead of Gold Coast who still haven’t managed to play in even one final since their inception. They continue to bungle along from year to year and you’re in awe of the manner in which they sacked their coach and want us to follow suit. Balls in alright…... in ya’ hand.

If you had any nuance whatsoever you may have picked up the sarcasm of me holding up a basketcase as something we should aspire. Just a little dig at how we are going offield.
