Maybe when he eventually gets fired he'll do a press conference and take his face off off only to reveal he was Tash Peterson in a mask the whole time....

Langer has just taken a gig as head coach of an IPL franchise. Which i assume means he will spend a big bunch of time during the footy season not just away from Perth but outside of Australia focussed on his IPL side. Just like he has been in the UK for months this season. Plus i am sure he has other commitments and/or is hunting for commentary gigs of franchise caching gigs in other T20 comps around the world. Being on the board is not a full time gig. You don't go to work 9 - 5 etc. But i am not sure he is good candidate to be on the Board if he is going to spend so much time so far away from the coal face.
He only needs to look at the result table and ladder week by week to know. Can do that anywhere.

I'm aware this is likely an overly negative take, but I was a bit disappointed with today.

It felt to me as though the senior players were given preference through the middle. Surely this is the complete opposite to the direction we ought to be moving in.

We need to be doing more to expose the young exciting players and getting them into the games. I have little interest in watching the players who have let us down for the last 4 seasons try to win new contracts or spots onfield moving forward.

Gaff needed the possessions. Likely at the expense of hewett

Watching Richmond get two simple goals from centre bounces in the third when it was Gaff, Sheed and Kelly in there drove me ****ing mental.

Simmo will be hell bent on not getting anymore 80 plus thumpings so he will turn to his old brigade to try and safe guard that. Development of the young players can wait.
