Ok by what measure is Cotchin better ? give me one.
Captain/leader/role model.
Lifts himself and the team around him when the game is on the line.
Being runner up in the brownlow speaks for it self.
Jack dyer medalist.
Won the coaches ass. Award.
Can be isolated deep in f50 and is very dangerous.
And he is also allot more creative.

Captain/leader/role model. So is Treloar, Cotchin isnt regarded as one of the better captains
Lifts himself and the team around him when the game is on the line. seriously ? until this year was known for regularly not doing that.
Being runner up in the brownlow speaks for it self. Woewoden won a brownlow
Jack dyer medalist. -meh
Won the coaches ass. Award. 3 years ago
Can be isolated deep in f50 and is very dangerous. yet Treloar has more goals and more assists
And he is also allot more creative. been critised for not being creative enough many times, plus Trelaor has a much better disposal efficiency

Can the Pies get both Treloar and Aish, surely not possible.
Well Salary cap wise we can easily fit them both in, probably also enough to fit Aish and Dangerfield in (1.5 mil ish). Its just a matter of trade currency.
Maybe our first roudner this year plus first roudner next year for Treloar
Second rounder plus seedsman for Aish?

No doubt with regards to the $$$. Boyd got millions and he's shown less. I don't doubt that Gunston is on a decent pay packet, disproportionate to what he'd shown prior to walking out on Adelaide. Same with Yeo or Docherty. You take a player who's shown that he's likely to be a very good player - say, 90% likely at this stage - and then add probably a 25% premium to get them to change clubs, and another 10% or more to get him to choose your club in the bidding war. It's ridiculous but that's the brave new AFL world we've ended up in.

Unfortunately Boyd to the Western Bulldogs falls outside these parameters.:D

You have bought nothing to the table, you say you know his family i asked who? You know nothing lol.

You are adding nothing to the debate - Yoda has provided relevant information about offers in front of Treloar - There is nothing to discuss.

Carlilse+our first round will be more than enough for EFC to get him imo.

Seriously why would you offer Carlisle and a first rounder for Treloar - Shades of EFC offering Hooker and a first rounder for Caddy - Posted at the time that was overs for caddy and I was proven right.

Treloar is a gun but I'll be surprised if Collingwood cough up 2 x 1st rounders for him, if he choses us.

1st & 2nd rounder yes and that 1st rounder probably needs to be a top 10. Pick 10=1395 points, pick 28=677 points. 2072 points

Hawthorn with 2 likely late 1st rounders might, if he was interested in going there, but that may equate to a similar point value (for academy draftee bidding) anyway. pick 18 2015 & pick 16 2016 (985 + 1067 points) = 2052 points

This article says that GWS don't even need to trade Treloar for salary cap or academy player picks:

"Contrary to speculation within club-land, the Giants don't need to trade Treloar in order to get under the salary cap.

Nor do they need to offload him for a draft pick in order to find the necessary draft "points" to land their prized academy players, Jacob Hopper and Matthew Kennedy under that arcane, geeky version of the bidding system for father-sons and academy players.

GWS has had eight or so first round choices playing in the reserves this year. Adam Tomlinson, Adam Kennedy, Nathan Wilson and Curtley Hampton are among the players with some currency struggling for games.

Any two of them or another young player on the fringes could get GWS the required brownie points for Hopper and Kennedy."
