You single out like two things and say everything is wrong. Confirmation bias much?27 - Played played 17 plus games every year of his career until this shortened season - Wouldn't have to pay the entire salary.
Wow you got just about everything wrong.

So he turns 28 next year making him... 27.You single out like two things and say everything is wrong. Confirmation bias much?
He turns 28 before the start of next season so you can safely round his age up to 28.
Again, if Hawthorn sign him, by all means celebrate. We all know how big of a success some of your other older acquisitions have been lately...
Might be going a little early on that oneOpposition supporters: “Hawthorn are no longer a destination club!”

Yeah and he still does...Tom Scully had a pretty decent games played upkeep too.
I mean, personally, I really wouldn't be giving big contracts to any of these constant, running all day types of players aged 27+ unless the team was close to challenging.
28 for Hawthorn if he goes there. So he turns 28 next year making him... 27.
You say he is injury prone, he consistently plays the majority if not the entire season.
You say we will be paying him a salary that we most likely won't be paying all of (if he comes)
You then compare him to Scully who was coming off an incredibly bad and serious injury.
Okay champ
Ok, but how are his performances?Yeah and he still does...
No my argument of us not paying it all is because you brought up his total salary, which is irrelevant if we won't be paying it all.28 for Hawthorn if he goes there.
He is also a very similar type of player to Scully, who wasn't considered an injury prone player prior to 2018.
I don't know why you're so upset, I'm just saying I personally wouldn't do it. You've now gone from saying "it's ok, we're front loadong?!" To "w-well, we probably won't have to pay all of his contract!", which tells me you're running out of arguments.
He's been ok in shortened quarters without playing on the larger MCG. Hasn't been our worst, hasn't been our best & cost us sweet fa to get.Ok, but how are his performances?
Hes injury prone because he's a similiar player to x player that has a freak injury, therefore injury prone.28 for Hawthorn if he goes there.

Scully is just an example of how a similar type of players can be affected by injuries in their late 20s.Hes injury prone because he's a similiar player to x player that has a freak injury, therefore injury prone.
I am wondering whether you have actually watched either player. Their only similarity is that they run fast. They play completely different roles.Scully is just an example of how a similar type of players can be affected by injuries in their late 20s.
How has he been affected other than a freak injury he sustained a couple of years ago?Scully is just an example of how a similar type of players can be affected by injuries in their late 20s.
It’s not like the QLD government will March her back to Victoria once her contract expired. Also not saying he wants to go there just that if he’s at all interested they should be 100% trying to get him across the line. His partner is only in Qld for an 11 month contract, and so why would Treloar want a long term deal there?
"Front loading" the contract of an injury-prone 28 year old who's already on 800k a year, from a club that just finished bottom 4 with the oldest list in the league...
Heard it all now.
Sounds like you're the one who doesn't watch either of them, which tells me you don't know much about football.I am wondering whether you have actually watched either player. Their only similarity is that they run fast. They play completely different roles.
Yes. But they will be paying some of that wage unless they take less in a trade IMO.Do people still not understand why Collingwood want to get rid of Treloar?
He won't be going anywhere unless he's getting the same big money contract that expires all the way in 2025. It's no surprise Clarko is keen.
Any type of play style can potentially take a toll on the body though. Inside mids, key forwards, rucks all probably have it worse tbh so don't know why you're singling out the play style of an outside runner.Sounds like you're the one who doesn't watch either of them, which tells me you don't know much about football.
Both of them are endurance runners. They can keep running and running all game, even in 4th quarters. This kind of playstyle can potentially take a toll on a player's body. Obviously not all the time, but hey, I wouldn't take the chance, considering the cost and length of the contact.

I can understand getting Hartigan in Based on tall stocks... but WHY Treloar when you need to rebuild? Why is clarko so against the draft?
