3 of the last 4 flags makes that a hard argument to win. I agree off field tigers miles in front. And Pies have had a lot of issues with injuries. I still wouldn’t argue they have a better list though as it stands.

Treloar is one of their better players too. Losing him makes the pies significantly weaker

I think the argument of who has the better list isn't as clear cut as you think.

What does Richmond have to do to win some respect for their playing list? They have an excellent tall forward, a superb back six, some great muscle in the midfield and of course the player most capable of any in the league of winning a game off his own boot.
The Pies have a deep midfield and a great ruckman, but have some really ordinary tall talent up forward and don't have great rebound out of the backline.
One could argue we have the best collection of soon to be prime players in the game- DeGoey, Moore and Grundy. If they all play to their talent levels they may be top 10 players in the comp. We will probably peak when/if they do at the same time.
Saying we have an old list is pretty wrong too, the only crucial players are Sidebottom who is 30 next year and has never relied on pace, Pendles who is 33 next year and likewise doesn't rely on pace. I think Pendles has another 2 years and Sidebottom should have 4 or 5, very resilient player.

I never said you were old. Just it has alot of very ordinary players aswell. Like most clubs. Hence why saying the pies list is better is very debatable. Maybe a little overrated tbh

If I were Treloar, I'd honestly just stick it out and re-assess in a year.
We are still talking about a guy who averaged 27 touches per game, in the shortened game, in an injury-interrupted season. Any bad blood will start to dissipate the moment he starts playing well again in 2021.

im not expert but i think richmond have a lot of cap room.
it would probable create future issues, unless he were open to renegotiation of the contract if thats allowed
would be fun to watch however - not sure who you'd drop. maybe houli hangs up the boots
