NO! You mean the final outcome is what anyone with the slightest bit of logic could see from a mile away?

3 of the last 4 flags makes that a hard argument to win. I agree off field tigers miles in front. And Pies have had a lot of issues with injuries. I still wouldn’t argue they have a better list though as it stands.Pies still have a better list.
Tiges just have a better board, CEO, President, coach, coaching group, captain and leadership group, action plan, style of play, and culture.

RowellWhy? He would instantly be your best midfielder?
If Treloar was keen for a move to Gold Coast they should be looking very closely. Would be a valuable addition.
Here are my thoughts
Treloar will stay in Melbourne and still likely to be at the Pies. Pies want him out. they have prioritised other players (which is the right list decision) but have gone about it the wrong way. I really feel sorry for the bloke.
Only way he leaves is if Pies pay 200k for first year and 100k for second. Will at best receive a second round pick and may slip to third. For a player of his ability that just isn't enough so he will most likely stay. if it wasn't a COVID year you would have more teams taking a risk and going for him.
Collingwood 30% Too much has to go right for him to leave
Melbourne 20% Will have space and can turn it around
Richmond 20% Shuffle contracts - can bring him in. treloar will go there
North 15% warchest
Essendon 5% outside change - other priorities
Hawthorn 5% outside of window - Treloar won't want to go
WB 5% don't appear interested
St Kilda 0% no cap space - other priorities
Carlton 0% no cap space - other priorities
Geelong 0% no cap space - other priorities
Yep. Wasn't jesting. Makes RFC better than what rfc fans think. I also believe Martin's heroics camouflage the team and organization brilliance we've seen. The club is an organism, not a bunch of organisms. This is the revolution.Probably true tbh
Point of order, Carlton has a shitload of cap space, even after two big $ ins.
You cannot seriously say pies have a better list. They have proved nothing. And have the likes of mayneYep. Wasn't jesting. Makes RFC better than what rfc fans think. What does Richmond have to do to win some respect for their playing list? They have an excellent tall forward, a superb back six, some great muscle in the midfield and of course the player most capable of any in the league of winning a game off his own boot.Pies still have a better list.

Getting regular games. Pies list falls away dramatically after your mids.
I think the argument of who has the better list isn't as clear cut as you think.

I never said you were old. Just it has alot of very ordinary players aswell. Like most clubs. Hence why saying the pies list is better is very debatable. Maybe a little overrated tbhOne could argue we have the best collection of soon to be prime players in the game- DeGoey, Moore and Grundy. If they all play to their talent levels they may be top 10 players in the comp. We will probably peak when/if they do at the same time.
Saying we have an old list is pretty wrong too, the only crucial players are Sidebottom who is 30 next year and has never relied on pace, Pendles who is 33 next year and likewise doesn't rely on pace. I think Pendles has another 2 years and Sidebottom should have 4 or 5, very resilient player.

If I were Treloar, I'd honestly just stick it out and re-assess in a year.
We are still talking about a guy who averaged 27 touches per game, in the shortened game, in an injury-interrupted season. Any bad blood will start to dissipate the moment he starts playing well again in 2021.
Would fit their style perfectly. However, good luck fitting him into the cap.would look good in yellow and black?

Because that's worked in the past for them right?why wouldnt they just continue to be patient and grow organically with somemany talented kids

Is it any coincidence that the 2nd build is looking okay after bringing in mature bodies like Greenwood, Weller, Ellis, Witts (4 out of GC's top 7 in Best and Fairest)?Only one 'rebuild' / first build
The 2nd one is going very well
