Why is fages tagged?
I'd be interested to know, but I reckon I could guess
Stewy left us in 2017, I reckon we had a couple of OOC players that year the club were desperate to re-signTambling?
We only have ourselves to blame for these articles. The Media and Communications people are there to manage these situations not just write media releases and script questions for our players to get asked during interviews. The club lied, mislead and fumbled it's way through it.
The camp was massive failling but we managed the fall out so badly that it became more of a story than it should of. A good media strategy would of had this go away within a few weeks

That might have been the case a while ago. There's no way of stopping it now. The same story will be written again when Jacobs and/or Jenkins get the arse at the end of the season.True. But the Club has been heading for a major fall for years and our Prince Andrew arrogant mismanagement of the camp means the camp is stuck to us for al time. Now that some of those boys club members have gone why can't we just openly admit we stuffed up. OWN IT so that it becomes old news. It then diminishes to nothing.
Really you use CNN and not Fox News?McClure is like the CNN of reporting though - the club could have said anything to him and after he applies his filters to it is becomes unrecognisable - you'll struggle to find many crows supporters that trust McClure in any capacity
I'm 95% sure he was still involved in list management in 2016, 2017 I couldn't say for sure.I read it as Stewart was in list management and wanted a player traded in that went against someone more powerful and was then dumped from future meetings. But I'm clutching at straws, ive NFI really.

Exactly. More than anything this is what stands out. Imagine you confided in your boss at work sensitive information and they in turn spread it around the office or whatever work environment. You would never forgive or look them in the eye again. The trust is broken and beyond repair.
McGovern really is not reliable. To say that the camp was a major part of why he went is farcical. He was pissed off with contract he signed when Gibbs came in. This just smacks of Young's influence. Find it incredibly hard to believe he turned down offers from West Coast to stay. When got wind of Carlton offer immediately wanted to go - again so much of Young's influence (which we also see with Cameron this week). When he eventually went to Carlton he turned up 10kg overweight. A kg for each extra 20k he was on.1: you don’t know that - so why state it as a fact?
2: remember curtly Hampton, retired only months after the camp, said to be one of those affected by it.
3: a proper investigation wasn’t undertaken by the AFLPA.
4: McGovern and Hampton (retired) both had issues with the camp.
Follow that up with Betts and Jacobs a year later.
I suspect as has been reported players were promised things would change and be fixed and they weren’t.
Alan was always pretty strong on his beliefs, and has every reason to be. I'd expect he butted heads with JR on trading one of our superstar forwards. It does imply a person that stayed to continue doing their job. I took "years" as meaning 5+. Also, Fages is on LM, so the player decision before his time. Who do you think it relates to?
Do wonder when is rightly said about how the Collective Minds were not the right people to be given sensitive information, how McClure is seen as a safe move. Jacobs/Jenkins are probably doing it for media favours down the line but what happens when good players whose careers are not at all memorable to the Victorian public and have burnt bridges with South Australia find jobs are not forthcoming in a few years. They've hardly got the personality of Bernie Vince or Nathan Grima or Tex who can do the cringey banter with Brayshaw. They could well regret it.@sam_mcclure "Thank you to all of the players who trusted me with their stories."
Yes, Sam. We're surprised someone trusted you with something, too!

I thought it made perfect sense. The English is poor, but you're thinking the implication is Stewart wanted a player traded out? Makes sense I suppose. Just not sure why it would be that recent with Fages tagged in as he's been on List Management the last few years.
It must have been a player the club highly valued but everyone else in the AFL knew was crap, and was out of contract around that time.I thought it made perfect sense.
I'd be spitballing, but I'd say JJ or Lynch would be the players in question. As to why Fages is tagged I'm not sure. He wasn't involved on the LM committee while Stewart was at the club.
I guess he's the only executive member with a social media presence

Possibly. It must have been a player the club highly valued but everyone else in the AFL knew was crap, and was out of contract around that time.
Lynch and Jenkins are great choices but I'll throw Douglas in there as a sneaky.
Maybe, but Stewart was involved in list management up until 2016.I still reckon it might go further back. Mackay? When someone says years ago to Fages I reckon the implication is Fages not involved, which he was for JJ and Lynch. Stewart may have continued his role for multiple years after being frozen out of list management. Could date back to Tippett.
Pyke, Burton, campo all sacked. Their part way to fixing it
I think that's a convenient excuse, to discredit the journo is just deflection and more of the same.
