Look out boys, this just in, Walsh had another man conversation with the boys on Monday morning!

Known as any other club as a "conversation"

Heard their CEO , Andrew Fagging, on the radio yesterday. He referred to "regular dialogue" a number of times. I think he meant "talk often".

Can you imagine KT using that sort of pretentious language?

I am extremely desirous of achieving a victorious outcome over these illegitimate offspring.

"This slip of a bodyguard must have been more skilled then he looked."

"Not skilled. Just stubborn."

So apparently fearless Phil Welch, the man who betrayed Hinkley with a kiss and stole as much intellectual property as he could from the club by assuring them that he didn't want to be a head coach in the future...that ****...is going to write one word on the whiteboard before the game. There's been a lot of speculation as to what that word is.

I know it. Do you want me to tell you?

"Premiers."

If you want an Adelaide team to play at their zenith, just tell them that if they don't, they'll have to deal with the ignominy of a Port Adelaide premiership. That it's up to them to do whatever it takes, to sacrifice themselves so that this apocalyptic event does not take place. After all, their whole raison d'etre is to make sure that we don't succeed first and foremost. That's why they celebrated the 2007 GF so hard, and why they post homoerotic pr0n in our game day thread when we are losing.

But see, here's the thing. Desire and self belief can only carry you so far. It's a finite well, and if you keep trying to tap into it, eventually the speeches become white noise and tired rhetoric until it gets ignored completely. You can see it happening in the performance of Adelaide - start off like a house on fire against North, have a pretty good win against Collingwood, barely get over the line against a wayward Melbourne and then fall in a hole against Footscray.

This week can go one of two ways. We either let these ****s climb out of the hole by taking it easy and not playing with the same intensity as the past four weeks...or we start shovelling dirt on top of them. We need to bury the Crows and more specifically Welch and make them realise that no one ****s with Port Adelaide. I'm talking about a ruthless aggression the likes of which Hawthorn did to Sydney in the GF - and Adelaide ain't no Sydney. They thought they saw pressure on Sunday...they don't even know what pressure is. I warned that loser Geoffa that we'd be coming for them as soon as we dealt with Hawthorn. Time to reap the whirlwind.

I want to ruin Welch's coaching career before it even gets a chance to grow. His faux intellectual "ground ball" shit - something that every other coach in the league uses but somehow has become "his" is just proof positive that the guy is just a parody of a senior coach. Perfect for the Crows, who are the parody of an authentic football club.

The Crows are trying to implement a high forward press, and for that to be successful two things are required. Every player must understand their role, and every player must play their role. If one or two players are out of position, either by lapse of concentration or by being forced to abandon their post, then the zone defence breaks down, and that's what I saw the Bulldogs do last week. Dogs players were running out of defence past a zone defender, who instinctively turned and chased him, leaving holes in the press that could be exploited.

The Crows are not experienced enough in the Walsh plan to shuffle into the holes and anticipate where the crevasses will open up, and a sage coach like Hinkley will exploit them on Sunday. Look for us to have several plans to confuse their team defence strategy; running past the last line of defenders into open space; going wide on one flank and quickly switching across to the opposite side; leaving FORWARDS IN THE FORWARD LINE, which will cause Adelaide's last line of press to hang back and be out of position.

Phil "Baldrick" Walsh may have a cunning plan. Ken Hinkley has drilled multiple plans into his players for three years now, and our leaders are intelligent and trusted enough to throw a multitude of looks at the opposition every week.

Port by 8 goals. Hinkley to be awarded the Showdown Medal

View attachment 129586 Personally, I would not respond well to continued threats of punishment.
Cam Mooney said as much on AFL 360 last night, mentioned that a 5am swim at the beach on a freezing day is the best way to get the playing group off side.

Boak was talking about it on MMM & said they did it after the GWS loss, Thommo got hyperthermia & we ended up losing the next week lol.

things Crows supporters talk about that won't actually happen:

* tarps returning at Adelaide Oval
* our crowds decreasing any time soon
* an AFL reserves comp
* Dangerfield playing for them in 2016
* a Crows victory this weekend
You forgot port folding or moving to Tasmania. Apparently that was supposed to happen by 2013

Let's just move on from the Crows, why even think about them as anything other than one of 17 rivals, win lose or draw there is another game next week. They despise Port because they live in the past. Let's just worry about what we have to do and be thankful we are not in Catltons shoes, or Richmond.... St Kilda.... Etc...

I know if I was one of the boys, I'd make it my mission to ensure that the Crows lose that ground ball stat no matter what. Simply because it will be the fastest and best way to make Welch explode and get fired. The Judas ****.

Hinkley acknowledges Polec and White are carrying niggles but they'll be fine to play.

Walsh and Walker say they know how to beat Port. Maybe Walker can tweet the plan pre-match.

I remember way back in the early days at the Power when Walsh was allowed some responsibility, we were playing Geelong in a game to shape our finals hopes. Walsh looked down the camera gun barrel straight and also then boldly declared we could beat Geelong because we had something they didn't ... pace. Geelong beat us by 85 points and Walsh was never allowed near the camera again.
