You’ve just come in to a thread about Essendon, to tell us how not interested you are in Essendon. Makes sense.

I don't understand how this kind of posting doesn't get pulled up from the mods?

Are you deliberately been disingenuous or you have no idea at all?

You said "invested in what happens at EFC, moreso than their own clubs it seems."

You did say "it seems" so therefore you were posing as genuinely asking but then quickly with your trigger bullshit response.

Sounds like Dodoro. Good luck.

Solid melt.

People post in here having fits of rage about some opposition club administrator they’ve never met, because of media clickbait.

Oh look another immediate and trigger response. You don't like people posting about Essendon on the main board if it's not positive? Grow up.

If you haven't noticed, there ain't much good about Essendon to say for two decades. Thought you'd learned by now you are worse than Gold Coast as a club.

Oh you’re still going? For someone not interested in Essendon you’re very passionate about your disinterest.

Dodoro is going to be a victim of his own BS

The dogs should play him back at his own game and in regard to Dunkley, ask for 3 first rounders and Zack Merrett

Merrett is ours next year for free. Sorry Adrian.

Youre going to need to offer 4 first rounders.

Just read the last 3 or 4 pages. Fantastic to see The Great Man is winning back the loyalty of the Bombre faithful.

The Genius has got their blood flowin' with hope again.

The cycle is just wonderful to watch in action.

This is the Dodoro version of a player in their contract year apparently. Playing for his career.

Pretty sure he grew up supporting Hawthorn. I think I read that on our board.

And?

I am not convinced that any established high quality player, ever, has changed clubs because he wanted to go to the club he supported as a child.

Closest you would get is Buckenara trying to break his contract through the courts to get to the newly established WA club. But that was a very different circumstance.

HTotC Paul Salmon. But that was also a case of Sheedy sacking him for daring to question his gameplan.

Fair play to Essendon, if they do get the Dunkley and Caldwell deals done, then they've essentially swapped Saad and Daniher for the aforementioned. Not a bad outcome at all

Given the pricetag for both is likely to be 3 first round draft picks, ontop of the fact that essendon must use a first round pick themselves this year, that is quite a shallow analysis of the situation.

You're giving Adrian a pat on the back for creating a fairytale, not bringing one to life.

Are you as invested in North? Who are in a far worse state? Or is it an EFC specific investment?

Definitely Essendon due to the fact they are a big four club, people probably thought a few years ago they were due to rise up as the club did given list direction. It's fallen spectacularly flat and I can't say I don't enjoy it.

Having said that if Essendon walks out of this period gaining Dunkley and Caldwell while cutting Saad and Daniher I think you've come out miles ahead and it's a blessing in disguise. Plus any picks you will retain then it's a genuine mini rebuild that will just need some key position signings. Big if though..

Saad is the major on-field loss, Daniher represented a big 'what if' talent-wise, and the list was clearly built around him following 2017, but hasn't worked, Fantasia similar to Daniher.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing a forward structure not built around waiting for Daniher to maybe be fit to play, even if the spectacle of him at his best is the reason you turn the TV on and watch the football.

I think Daniher will be good for Brisbane, they're not reliant on him to underpin their entire forward-line given they've been a Top-4 side two years running without him there. And I think Essendon are at a point where we're better served by some more reliable players even if they don't have the same upside that a fit Daniher & Fantasia could have brought. We never saw our first choice forward line on the park together once since 2017 from memory.

Saad will be a big hole to fill, genuine top tier small defender and one of the better offensive half-backs going around. But might also mean they have to address the problems further up the field instead of relying on a slingshot from half back style of game.

Who knows whether Dunkley gets done, he'd be a big get and totally change how our midfield looks. Caldwell fairly unknown. Plus we've got a number of best-22 players that barely played in 2020, or were pretty physically limited coming back from injury.

I'm actually looking forward to what 2021 brings. Changes needed to happen.

well many of us BF tragics shouted North down when they threw the big bucks at Polec and Pittard
paying overs takes time to erode a club but it does happen

I followed Preston way back when Ray Shaw was captain coached so followed Reece's career with interest

picking on North now would be like telling jokes at a funeral

back to Dodoro , he doesn't create club culture , but is a contributor
his negotiating tactics are like a dodgy used car dealer , come in super low , insulting .. shake the bastards up yeah
its deliberate and repeated and has become "thats the way we roll at Windy Hill"
thats childish and Trump like , so there's his contribution thats outwardly visible

you have senior players wanting out , they can want out for a variety of reasons
but what they are NOT doing is buying into club culture and future club prospects

I knew a person that was working in the Club during the Knights/Hird era and was saying it wasn't healthy
and that was said before the drugs saga

now the real Essendon people can comment , much of the clubs board/admin are filled with people from the legal profession ?

now we know their lifes mantra is "who can we screw , how can we screw them and how much can we screw them"
and if you reckon thats cruel or incorrect , lots of people will enthusiatically recommend a doctor , a plumber , a resturant even an account but who does that for a solicitor/layer ?
a few of them are handy but doesn't too many poison the water ?

Dorodo might do due diligence behind the scenes in potential new players and do many parts of the role really well

but does Windy Hill need an off field shake up , and then the new new CEO go to him and say "hey cut that nonsense out" , "were all adults"
