Wilkie, Hayes & Noble all under our noses yet we don't favour SANFL talent for some stupid reason.

Wht would you target unptoven AFL mature age recruits when we're rebuilding?

Hayes has been better than Himmelberg and Frampton for the last 5 years, before he was mature age!

Swap Davis and Murphy, and Taylor and Newchurch I reckon.

Assuming Frampton and Gollant/Cook are added to this team (with one of them the AFL emergency & Sholl the AFL medical sub), it really highlights our lack of tall forward depth.

Has Worrell trained up forward at all this summer? He seems the obvious one to try up there.

So you want to extend Frampton and Himmelbergs contracts because there is nobody in our squad to take over Bicks .
Lets face it Hayes has been ready for opportunity for few seasons .
Not saying going to be a star but would have been that competitive forward crying out for .

Where did I say that?

I'd be surprised if we don't go to the draft looking to find a forward if Himmelberg and Fogarty don't come on performance wise this season given Thilthorpe looks likely to nail down one of the key forward roles for a decade. Frampton IMO was recruited as back up ruck coverage more than anything given at that time there was little confidence Strachan was going to come on like he has.

We do have 20 year old Lachlan Gollant also who is around the same height as Jack Hayes and showing enough to think he will be a handy 3rd tall option.
