And he has taken the side to the prelim. He ain’t getting sacked. You are acting like we were flogged and have struggled to win a game. This was 1 v 2. Maybe North aren’t that bad?
North have played some seriously good football this year and after a poor first quarter came out firing… not quite sure why there’s been so much angst about the Crows performance. They still played some solid football with some of the young guys showing a fair bit. Perhaps not as consistent or dominant as you’d like but still enough to be optimistic about… mostly.

As an aside, it’s a weird thing still having a SANFL team along with barracking for the Crows. Was absolutely hoping North would win, but still wanted the young Crows guys to play well. Here’s hoping they win this week so I can be happy with either result come the GF…

also, it’s a strangely wonderful feeling walking into the ground knowing that near every 50/50 umpiring call was going to go the Roosters way… which they did. Not sure why the umpires are so resolutely against the Crows SANFL team - surely there isn’t actually a conspiracy to punish them - but I imagine the data is pretty overwhelming showing bias against them. How often do they get a positive free kick differential?

Anyhow, still a bit to be optimistic about as a Crows fan. And getting shitty that our second string 20 year olds couldn’t quite get the job done against the minor premiers is hardly something to get upset about.

Only on their twitter. None of our players finished in the top 10 despite coming 2nd.

You would expect that in a Reserves side. The best players each week would usually be considered for promotion and not string enough games together to contend.

Fourth most votes of all the club tallies and only 5 votes in total less than North got. Of all the conspiracies this isn't one.

Crouch with 13 votes, Hateley and Strachan with 9 votes the leaders

Why was Jenny's reply to clam deleted? Either the board's getting unbelievably sanitised, there's some major complainers or I suppose she could've deleted it herself.
Ooooww… juicy… I missed it, what did she write in response to me this time?..

Was it something nasty?..

I love getting replies from Jennifer…

So Aaron Young, a AFL reject wins the Brownlow, so how much do we read into SANFL form of mature mids? The answer is nothing.

Who went on the weekend?

Any Crows fans who aren't also Glenelg / Norwood / North fans?

I've been to both our finals. With Centrals not in the finals, I'm happy to cheer the SANFL side on.

Though football fatigue has well and truly set, especially with another couple of months of AFLW to come.

Not a surprise. Who can forget Mitch Grigg and Cam Ellis Yolman in 2016 barely polling 20 votes between the pair of them after their terrific seasons.

And more to the point Grigg becoming an unstoppable Magarey winning force on the same form the second he switched jumpers.

But again, who really cares

After the first quarter, the Crows were outscored 14.6 to 9.7.
North's run-and-overlap was extremely fluent/effective and exposed the Crows' reluctance to man up or chase.
What bothered me most was how similar the Crows' SANFL and AFL games are --- strong at the contest, but very little possession-style-footy as shown up by the chasm in uncontested possessions between Crows and NA. Lots of bombs-away forward delivery too.
I identify with your divided loyalties; I feel the same way when the Crows play West Adelaide. :smilev1:

As always stats and numbers show more than “the vibe” or our own biases. I will say that the frees differential with Adelaide in the SANFL is unarguable.
Magarey votes this year tells another story.
I’ve done a tally of the Top 10 vote getters this year, their votes, games played and divided the two to get votes per game.
Just as I thought, the obvious reason for Adelaide polling poorly is because of games played.
Crouch polling by far the most votes per game than anyone.
