I truly lumped Shirley with Skipworth in the 'get rid of asap' bin a couple of years ago, but Shirls has proved a lot of people wrong and is a vital cog in our midfield.

OK boys and gals in a weird twist of fate I ended up there tonight and here are some of my thoughts/inside rumblings I heard, Ben Hart absolute ****ing legend on the TV you dont see half of what goes on and he was on stage at least three times and DIGNITY is the word I was in tears almost every time he was up there! Nate Bas was on the GRUMPY pills tonight! Richie Douglas = legend has no doubts that he is at the best club in the AFL, Maric funny bastard off the camera, Jason Porplyzia has no idea (until tonight) about the cult following he has (and is a bloody short ass!). Jason Torney now here is a guy you would love to have a chat with when his career is over said enough tonight when absolutely **** faced. HATES Bitchmond with a passion didnt want to leave accepted the salary cap story until he saw K Johnson go over but a few years later is bloody glad to be here, and also has been on yearly contracts for the last three um what else Bernie Vince on crutches! only six weeks though and Roo defnitely said last year will be his last!

Yeah, he had surgery on his knee about two and a half weeks ago.

Congrats to Goody Certainly a well deserved award. Nice to see that Bodey got an award and from NC too.

I've always like Shirley, being a good WWT Eagles boy - he always tries his heart out, he obviously doesn't have the talent of a top tier midfielder, but he has the heart.

And good onya for giving him a pat on the back too mate, good to see people who can recognise that they can be proven wrong.

Heard on Sports Tonight that Edward's and Mcleod's missus had another fight at the Club champion awards last night
