It's not formal on St Kilda website, therefore don't think he's eligible to be drafted yet.

SPP period opens again on Jan 15 so would have had to have been announced by December 16. Which it doesn't appear to have been.

I can't see why Slim couldn't draft him personally, they take the risk that he doesn't get signed up later. Others may have their own opinions though. No idea if the rules cover this specifically.
