Saints not for the spoon

Should be a good game, and round. They play the hawks in week 5 ^^ (they play us this week but I don't think we count as a tough opponent, especially not at skilled)
Technically Geelong haven't faced a tough opponent yet, while they look good, are they really good?
still living in hope for that predicted slide are we
Not trolling here but from looking at St Kilda's fixture I can't honestly see them winning a game for the rest of the year... May have a chance against the bulldogs in round 21 but that's it really...
Saints will beat Adelaide this weekPut you're money where your mouth is!!!
happy to be proven wrong, start with Adelaide this week.Put you're money where your mouth is!!!

Hawthorn look ultra impressive though. They look like they're still fine tuning their game. And Essendon look like they're ripping sides apart. Almost as if they have the opposition play book.yeh I had a feeling North would beat Port for what it's worth. Was surprised they took as long as they did to eventually get the lead on the back of a couple unfortunate injuries to Wingard and Monfires mid-game which placed a little more heat on the bench rotations to keep up with the pace of the 4th quarter.
Agree with your assumptions as it's far too early to start predicting things even after 5 or so rounds in. Not sure about Hawthorn certainties for top 4 though as they do face their bogey team in Richmond who will improve in the next month while also contending with Sydney and Geelong so if they do happen to win all 3 of those, they should almost be set for top 4 heading into the second half of the season but as with all teams, only takes 2 losses to fall right back into the pack again.
You said honestly can't see us winning another game for the year, I extend my virtual hand to the tune of $100! I'll even forfeit the bulldogs game.happy to be proven wrong, start with Adelaide this week.

I don't like using that argument on essendon. The only reason they lost out last year was the drugs saga. They were destined to be top 4 without that shit.Essendon have been doing this for...how many years now? They burst out of the blocks and then stall midway through the year. That likely doesn't happen this season but there will certainly come a point where they dip and drop a few games here and there as it's almost possible to play the same game plan all the way through as teams adapt.
I'm personally more worried about Fremantle than Hawthorn, I'm unsure how Port Adelaide supporters feel about both teams but to me, Fremantle have something like 9 out of their next 12 at Subiaco oval so they will start upping up their game as the year draws to a close while I cannot see Hawthorn getting that much better than what they have already produced, in particular, that game on Friday night.
I said I needed a few more rounds to decide, I'm not convinced they've beaten any strong sides yet. Hey, in reality all good things come to an end. Gotta happen some day.Anyone claiming Geelong have started to slide has lost their minds and has absolutely zero to back it up.
They were a kick away from a Grand Final last year and are 3-0. Would take that kind of slide every day of the week.
Jamie Macmillan broke his ankle 5 minutes after Monfries went off. Wingard came back on and played. They were arguably full strength also. We however, were missing Swallow, Ziebell and Tarrant.yeh I had a feeling North would beat Port for what it's worth. In the scheme of things though, the players you substituted for your missing players are still good players. Wouldn't have made a lot of dfference. Its not basketball where one player makes a supermassive impact.Jamie Macmillan broke his ankle 5 minutes after Monfries went off. Wingard came back on and played. Who would you replace for Boak and Wingard? Are they a step down??In the scheme of things though, the players you substituted for your missing players are still good players. Wouldn't have made a lot of dfference. Its not basketball where one player makes a supermassive impact.
Its obviously a loss, but someone steps up. Thats what a good team, with depth does. If there are 2-3-4 stars out, you're gonna be in strife, no matter who you are.Who would you replace for Boak and Wingard? Are they a step down??
