I cannot believe we are a week away from the end of the month and there has been not a single whisper of a leak anywhere - usually by now we've at least got round one - that should be here by tomorrow at the latest you would think.

I'm lacking confidence that they will even release it in October now.

yeh i reckon round one tomorrow, may be some leaks later today
a few grumblings an other stuff will come out sat and sun and mon, full fixture thursday
That's the ideal release timeline but I'm just surprised nothing has come out so far. Might fish for the 2018 fixture wish list threads and see when we were dripped shit from that

Last year the round one fixture was released on 25th October. Interestingly on the 24th we still didn't even know the actual official release date much like this year.

The fixture gets released when all stakeholders have signed off on it, and the PR stuff in in place.

To advise people in advance of the date would mean potentially missing the date (embarrassing), announcing things that aren't set (ground not available for fixtured game...oops, need to redo it), or releasing it when they're not ready (announcements being wrong, or poorly done..Collingwood play 13 MCG games, no 14...oh no, yeah it's 13).

So they aim for late October, but don't formalise the date until they're ready to go. (once it's settled, and they're just doing the presentation/detail stuff is when the leaks start).

Hey Everyone. I'm creating this thread due to the fact that the AFL Fixture 2020 is coming out soon. I'll start off

1. Collingwood get double ups against
Richmond x2
GWS x2
Geelong x2
Essendon Or North Melbourne x2
Carlton x2

2. Playing Adelaide and Sydney at Marvel (NO MARVEL STADIUM TEAMS)
+ Finally get to verse Sydney in Melbourne after 7 YEARS travelling to ANZ stadium and SCG

3. Less Friday nights and more Saturday afternoons

That's all from me, Now it's your turn.
I'd hope that the Crows and Power get a Friday night Showdown, but apart from that, let's get some fairness injected into the draw. Gifting Richmond just two games out of Victoria in four months of footy this year (with one a predetermined training run) was laughable.

Just conveniently forget the first half of 2019 pre-bye when we barely played at home. And at least we won a final away from home, something your power ranger mental short people couldn’t do

"Barely played at home"? Are you delusional? You played at home on 7 occasions out of 13, with another 2 games just 15 min up the road at Marvel. Your response is just so indicative of how supporters of Melbourne-based teams think. Try dealing with 50% of your games interstate every year, like all the interstate teams have to do. Absolutely clueless.

You weren't hugged enough as a kid
