Melbourne might be favourites tonight but I doubt neutral supporters will be barracking for the underdogs in this situation. I think neutrals have seen Geelong have a successful period from 07-11 followed by a period of making finals virtually every year. I feel neutrals have been envious of how Geelong have managed to not to fall down the ladder. Obviously I'm biased so I could be wrong.

the three first rounders we gave up would be more of a kick in the guts if we’d gotten those picks for being shit, and had already been down the bottom for a while, then spent them on Cameron and had 1-2 years of immediate benefit before being shit again. A lot of what we gave up for Cameron came from Tim Kelly when we were already up. This feels like more of a ‘keep the good times rolling before the hangover gets here’ sort of scenario

Everyone is. I’m wishing the clock forward just to get it over and done with. I just hope more than anything it’s competitive. While i would personally love to be 10 goals up at half time or something it’s a shit feeling as a supporter on the end of it and I wouldn’t wish it on Dees fans and definitely not on Cats fans - we’ve been out of these games a few times before they’re 40 minutes old. I’d hate that to happen tonight

Did you go last weekend? I didn’t think we were particularly worthy of some of the derision we’ve copped. We certainly weren’t at our best but after some issues early I think we were fairly clinical over the last half and a bit
