We don't have a bad BF record, we have a schittehouse GF record.

Clearly 2 out of 5 in the last 20 years ( and 1 of the 3 losses has an *) is better than a lot -

Or do I need to quote Collingwoods win/loss over the last 50 years....why not...2 from 12.

Be thankful.

Collingwood have lost more GFs total, but our GF win/loss ratio is worse than theirs. The answer to who has the worst GF record is “line ball” I’m afraid.

The game was over 15 mins into the first quarter. Shouldn’t take anything away from Geelong, but Sydney didn’t deserve to be there. They got lucky. You did make your own luck but with Melbourne folding and the Pies losing by a kick against the umpires and SCG bias, this was what happened. Geelong fans would have preferred a decent team against them too.
All I kept hearing all week was “the 2 best teams are in it”.
It was literally said by everyone.
So yes, they deserved to be there. They earned the right by finishing 3rd and winning 2 finals.
Don’t forget they were on a 9 game winning streak heading into the game.

They got demolished early then lost their spirit when they knew it was a lost cause.
It happens in Grand Finals. There is literally nothing to play for when you’re getting smashed. No next week. Nothing.

Exactly this, it was a shock to see what happened to Sydney, they were talked up as a worthy opponent albeit the underdog all week. Geelong played their best game all year, you can't take that away from them.

If they gave up as you say, then that doesn't bode well going forward for them, they could give up at any time.

The same could be said the week before, Collingwood were getting smashed and had nothing to play for the next week if they lost, but they kept trying and nearly won the game.

My take is Sydney were done, it showed the week before, they were finished.

great comeback. trying to deflect my point by changing the subject and talking about my own team like I care.

We're so bad that we're 3rd favourites for next years flag and you're 5th fav....
Like you were favourites the last 4 times we’ve played?
