You're completely wrong. You do not have to 'stand' until the umpire calls it. You can take the mark then move backwards before the umpire calls stand. Noble hadn't heard "stand" so he started moving back, unfortunately for him he went just as the umpire opened his mouth. Common sense would've seen the umpire let him go

The umpire did call it though, it just so happened to get called AS he decided to start moving back. You can go back and watch the replay, the umpire called stand and then Noble started moving. It was quick but that's how it happened.
