They may have played in some big games but they haven't won them and haven't been to the finals for a decade. Look at last game last year when they just failed against the Pies. Look at this game V Richmond where they couldn't get home despite the Tiges being wasteful all game...massive games, huge crowds but they don't win. Still spooked by the finishing line in the real tests.
There is no excuses they are poorly trained, mentally weak or just not good enough.

Oh my.

How is this bloke comparing last night's game with the 2005 Grand Final, simply by looking at the scores here.

Oh my.
Have a look at the post I initially quoted George.

How unusual to see you in a Carlton thread.....

I agree about excuses. My view is they are not as good as they are being painted. Probably a top 8 proposition but not top 4. I'll be amazed if hey get top 4. I'm unhappy that we ( Richmond ) were not able to make the inside 50s count nd push on to beat an ordinary team. They just don't ever really seem like going after a big team and racing home.

Got to love Taranto for fantasy/punting.
18 kicks and I think maybe 1 of them went to a team mate. And even that was accidental.
Did not give a * where the ball went, as long as he got a kick

On SM-S906E using BigFooty.com mobile app

Yep was a bit hit n miss won't argue that but 1 kick to a teammate it's just utter BS. 32 disposals at 56% DE but let's look at the positives. He had 12 contested. 5 clearances, 8 tackles, 23 pressure acts and 542 meters gained.

well i got something nice to say....hush.............
match replay is avail relatively quick after match completion, not 24hrs like prev years.

not that I would download to keep....golly, apart from a quick run on of 3 goals from the Tiges...wouldn't waste valuable time rewatching that

The AFL just keep coming up with these s**t new rules every year that don't benefit the game whatsoever.
You mean to say you're not in favour of paying high free kicks?

Dwayne Russell on SEN said that Dusty got pinged for one of his famous fend offs he has been doing all his career.
That’s another rule added.
More than one.

Correct decisions weren't they? Fend off is prior opportunity?

edit: if Dwaynepipe meant he got pinged for high fend offs he's got that wrong, they were all holding the ball from memory.

You might want to look up what constitutes an effective disposal.

Who got the Brownlow votes last night?
Crippa, Lynch and Weitering??

Cripps did ok but won't get it with 25 disposals and only 9 kicks. Taranto will get it even though his kicking was hit n miss, overall he did many good things. Rioli should be in the votes too with his great game, 27 disposals at 93%DE, 681 meters gained and 5 inside 50's playing off half-back. Intercept possessions 7 and 5 score involvements. Weitering had a good game but Lynch still kicked 3 goals 3 behinds, should've been 5 lol missed a few sodas.

Not only that, he's been getting away with high fend offs his entire career.

Hahaha a geelong hater go figure!
?

You pointed out his 56% DE in response to an observation that Taranto hit one target for the night.

Do you know what constitutes an effective disposal? It's a genuine question. I'll ignore your insecurity for a minute while you take the time to answer.

The one in the 3rd quarter got tackled on the boundary line, as soon as he got tackled and pushed his arm up was effectively over the line but 100% no prior and gets holding the ball lmfaooo. How many times Cripps got tackled and pushed off as you do = play on, Twice threw the ball out on the wing in a tackle, ump didn't see it.

32 disposals and 8 turnovers, So the other 24 hit the target, are you getting this? Do the maths or perhaps you're not that good at it thats ok I pointed it out to you the definition of DE overall on his disposals. Now, ill ignore your hate, I get it the tigers belting your mob in the 2017 QF, 2019 PF and 2020 GF.

That's not answering the question. If you did know you'd realise it explains why his DE was as high as 56%

What is it with Richmond supporters and stat sheets?

Also, if 24 of his 32 possessions hit target his DE would be higher than 56%

Talking about maths. 🤦
