I’m a bit late to this party but I’ve more or less avoided AFL media this season so far by about 80 per cent relative to most seasons purely because I haven’t actually had the time to watch much footy and when I have it’s been league.

But in the bits I have watched - few episodes of 360, an on the couch and a couple of other segments etc, man I don’t remember a player being as hyped.

That’s not to say that a) people are saying ‘he’s the next Buddy/Matthews/Coleman/Ablett etc’ or b) that he’s not obviously a star but it’s like no young player has ever been really good before
