I’m not attacking your club who is stuck between an identity crisis, sacking their senior coach or chucking tarps back on the grandstands. I’m just stating that this Gather Round hasn’t been great. I like the idea, just poorly executed.
First time event with a lot of lessons learnt but execution is not an issue here.
Mt Barker a non stadium looked pretty good for a temporary venue. Norwood looking good for a small intimate setting and AO is always amazing.

My only criticism is putting Port in a double header program which skews the attendance hence the half full stadium for the Dee's and Don's match.

The thing you don't see from interstate is off the field with festival event and vibe. This is an experience you don't normally get even in Melbourne except for Grand Final week.

I may watch Adelaide kick 8 in the 1st qtr over and over.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a port fan who is also a crows fan

See something new everyday

What about my mindset is narrow? I love the concept, I don’t even live in Melbourne so I’m not biased towards footy being played in my city if that’s your assumption

I don’t think the AFL have executed it well. I do love that SA fans that are usually starved for footy get their choice of 9 matches over a weekend, that’s grouse. Good for the game. I just don’t like the AFL’s execution. First crack, they’ll do it better next time and I think SA are a good candidate.
I am port member, busy on day I had to buy tickets, missed out. I think they butchered programming with double header, needed to clear stadium and sell the port game as a standalone game. If 10k bombers/melbourne supporters leave after game and i couldn't get ticket, its frustrating.

I reckon at the time they wanted to make sure the attendance was decent, hence double header. But given how it has gone, I think next time they will have standalone games.

I enjoy watching Essendon this year they play a good style.

Demons mids looking arrogant and lazy so far. When May actually has to defend he can look pretty average. Make him accountable.

This is exactly my point, but people aren’t reading between the lines and thinking big picture

Port easily sell out AO nowadays, they have very faithful fans. Here’s hoping it’s full as not to frustrate your supporter base.

Don't disagree, just think could have done a lot of 'other' things to achieve that, and not screw over port / bulldogs

If it’s anything like Fringe then I can respect that, Adelaide put on a good street festival.
