Very difficult to win 3 finals in a row, especially with the last two on the road.

Definitely a more battle hardened & seasoned Lions roster since the 22' Prelim, I'm hoping we don't get blown away by HT this time.

Better match-up against Brisbane than what it would have been against GWS.

Geelong's in better form now than what they were earlier in the year when they beat Brisbane at the Gabba.
The inclusions of Humphries, Mannagh & Neale have given us a lot more flexibility to move other players around the ground.

Tom Stewart may be right to go but he is still no certainty at this early stage.

Lions in far better form now than when we lost to the Cats at the start of the year. Perfectly primed after winning 2 finals, Cats have only won 1 final. Shocking form coming in for the Cats really.

Lions by 75 points.

Lions would win this comfortably if Chris Scott wasn’t Geelong’s coach…but he is.

Being flogged is an arbitrary reason used by the board resident trolling nuffie AP.

Port flogged Sydney
Geelong flogged Port

Do they also not deserve to make it…

Both have been flogged big time throughout the year and neither team has big star players.
Between them they have lost 2 games by 10 goals or more. Both times it was Geelong in its mid year slump. Do you not remember the same thing happening to Richmond in 2017?

On your second point, both teams do have stars but why would having a couple of big name players carrying average sides make them more deserving than a well balanced team?

If you're elite by position or age you're a star. You might be thinking of superstar (top 3 or 4 in the comp). There's plenty of elite talent in this match up.

2024 All Australian selectees: Cameron, Neale, Zorko.
All Australian level/form: Andrews, Stengle, Holmes, Daniher.
Young/up and coming stars: Holmes (again), Ashcroft, Dempsey, Lohman.
Veteran stars: Dangerfield, Stewart, Cameron (again), Zorko (again).
