Zero intent at the ball!? The ball was literally kicked to him on the lead and he was about to mark it until the Sydney dude cut across right in front of him. What do you want him to do, sidestep a ball that’s been kicked to him!?

This is how I saw it but I'll need to watch the million replays this week to form a proper opinion

Of course he was. He would have marked it comfortably had Cunningham not cut across.

Imagine the outrage if he pulled out of the contest of a ball that was kicked to him on the lead!?

A lot of drama queens in this thread. Wright didn't decide to KO a player, he braced himself which lead to unfortunate contact from the ball he was watching and kicked to him. He will pay the price of it being looked at but he hardly thought i'm going to be a thug.
 
No such thing as an accident on the footy field in the eyes of the Sydney theatregoers, unless it involves playing with extra men on the field or climbing goalposts.
