We were shithouse last night and didn't deserve to win but anyone who says the umpires didnt influence the outcome are delirious.
when was the last time you saw a 14-3 free kick differential halfway through the 2nd term when the team on the wrong end had scored the first 3 goals and had full momentum?
Some will say we were simply 'undisciplined', yet by mid-way through the 3rd the count had evened up and we again held a 3-goal margin, apparently, we weren't as undisciplined during that period of the game.
Go figure.

And on the subject of free kick differential, when was the last time this was raised in a game between a non-Vic club and a Vic club, and the Vic club was on the wrong end of it?
Waaahh the umpires didn't blatantly favour us like they usually do, it's not fair!!!! 😭😭😭

Both sides went hammer and tongs, difference was Melbourne tackles were hard and fair, and Port was sniping cheapies off the ball and late to marking contests. Sniper mentality got beaten in a toe to toe contest, only thing Ken has taught in 12 years. Port has a midfield (missing JKH, we're missing Bradshaw) that is on par with Sydney, super impressed with how the Demons were able to block their (Butters and Rozee) run. Alir niggling Brown was the most stupid thing all year (so far) Brown was a presence all day and straightens up massively.

I remember when we played a close game against Port Adelaide in 2018 they literally got 10 free kicks in a row in the last quarter. It didn't seem to bother their supporters then.
Pretty sure they had a couple of late dodgy calls go there way last year or the year before too which helped seal the game for them.

Do you mean the one where Aliir blatantly took his eyes off the ball and bumped him out of the contest? That's the call you're sooking about?

He was talking about browns long history of flopping,

It should have been easy to read.

What about Rioli being paid the mark while sitting in the terraces, were they arcing up about that?

What port poster has said anything different than that being a bad call. Why would a poster who’s been through the thread with a fine tooth comb (yes i got notifications as you reacted to my posts throughout the thread as you read it today) have to make up such a story to paint port fans as so unreasonable lol.

You may have missed the news the match review has fined the Melbourne player for a sling tackle, which most Melbourne supporters on here didn't think was even a free

Not after favouritism, that would make us as bad as you, just want consistency.
Its actually a compliment that it takes that type of display to stop our momentum and kickstart yours.
Right because we are asking to be blatantly favoured? Don’t be ridiculous, there are port supporters in your own review forum that are asking to be favoured like Adelaide are.
Home town umpiring is very real in Adelaide and Perth, it was nice to get the rub of the green for a quarter and a half before it completely turned the other way.

I have watched 6 times, and honest honest, think it was a flop and shoulder not head hit the turf, wasn't a second action/spear tackle type job. I actually think we should contest the fine because Rivers is a clean player.

You think you dont get it at home too?
You think we'll find it nice to get the rub against you over there next time?

How often, when discussing the location of the GF and its advantage to Vic clubs, do we get told our advantage is having 11 games at home and how its the only reason we make finals.
Well, how is it an advantage if we get stifled by umpiring that stops us in our tracks?

lol. take the L bro. Benny Brown kicked 3 on your mob.

Losses come and losses go, hell melb fans should be familiar they’ve seen their fair share in their history ..

That’s not a dig it’s a genuine deal, teams lose.

But being a fan who comes up with wild shit like suggesting a guy in a sling tackle dove is something else.

Also, I’m not sure why you think Ben brown kicking 3 goals is some harsh burn. Kf kicks 3 goals on team, more at 11. Dudes done way worse to us in a different jumper.

You got 1 less free and 3 more frees inside 50. Maybe you were just beaten by a better side on the night who were cleaner at crucial moments?

The free wasn’t paid cause Alir looked at brown while running to the contest, it was paid cause brown hit the dirt, which would be fair enough if brown hadn’t of obviously flopped and thrown himself.

If brown hadn’t of gone down is anyone going to say that would have been paid a free?
you realise Brown didn't even fall over. LOL. he kept his feet. caught in yet another lie! you're just embarrassing yourself now. you're not on my level.

Yeah except Brown didn't flop, Aliir clearly bumped him off the footy. It's clear as day.

Just pointing out Port supporters sooking about the umpires being biased against them (😳) when they had howlers that went their way as well. I guess those decisions don't fit the persecution narrative though.

No we don’t and you can put that to the test in round 22. Our supporter base is less unpleasant than the dickheads that you lot have sitting on level 1 abusing umpires and players alike.

The free kick count ended up being almost even at 24-25, and the umpires were handing goals to Port. Port fans hold a very double standard and bias always brushing all the very questionable decisions that went Ports way under the rug.
