Cannot believe people this stupid exist.

The pressure caused by Hawthorn meant Carlton were more prone to giving away free kicks 🧠

Go look at the game and look at the frees given and not just numbers. The number ain’t meant to be even
I watched the entire game and any time Carlton looked like they were pulling away or gaining momentum there was a very soft free kick paid.

Granted some were there by the letter of the law but it’s just typical for the umpires to start being so thorough when they feel like it.

No way we’ve got blokes using pressure rating as a telling stat. You were beaten in most key on ball stats yet were +11 in free kicks for the majority of the game. Thats 11 extra forward possessions.

Would love to see a stat on scoring chains started or involving a free kick, because I think you’d be right up there. Anyone with eyes would agree.
Free kick count is irrelevant. Anyone with eyes knows how the umpires performed today. If Carlton won with that umpiring performance servers would have been down.

Regardless, our conversion in front of goal was putrid again. 2.8 in the 2nd half after 2.7 last week. Odd considering we were one of the more accurate teams in the competition last year. Desperately need to get Curnow/McKay right - Curnow did not look fit at all. Still issues with entries inside 50. This is obviously a list hole still. Effort and intensity was very good but this needs to be the standard not the exception.

I’ve put the numbers up in a previous post and have yet to hear a genuine reason from a Hawks supporter why they think that’s the case?

There wouldn’t have been many Hawthorn scoring chains that didn’t have a free kick in them

You don’t understand “research” do you? (I use the term generously).

you generated the numbers - it’s now your job to explain them. Ever read a scientific paper? I doubt it. They don’t ask the reader to explain the findings.

Grow up.

They didn’t try to run it or pass to a free man at all that last quarter. It was always to 1 v 1 or 1 v 2. Just bizarre work from the Carlton leaders (do they have a leader?)
3 Votes Carlton Absent Leader.

From a Lions fan? Didn't you guys start 0-3 last year?
I get the schadenfreude, but at the expense of looking like an idiot?

We have an established system and some good players tho.

Jesus Voss talks alot of sh!te

Bloke has no idea and actually believes the rubbish he says

De Koning spent 76% TOG and he says sometimes the player is on the other side of the ground and you cant make the change,

He also thinks they are running ok because they had 19 inside 50's , Maybe work on how you bring the ball into the 50
Carlton should sack this bloke before their players retire

Hawthorn winning has completely broken your brain hasn’t it.

I don’t work for champion data mate. All I have is the numbers freely available to the public and the live vision I saw. In what was a huge arm wrestle for the majority of the night, those numbers make a difference

Aged like milk in the sun.
Where are your posts during the game? Always love the warriors who go back and quote/like posts said in real-time. ;)

Gunston is cooked. A few cheapies doesn't change that.

Pages and pages of umpire discussion and nobody is actually talking about who played well, or the game itself.

You're all cooked and are addicted to raging about umpires.

That was a really high pressure game of footy. Great quality game for this time of year. You all got to watch a great game and everyone is just focused on umpires. Real shame.

Carlton deserve a lot of credit. They've only won 2 games out of the last 11 but they had a real crack all night and caused enough chaos to lead for about 5 or 6 minutes there. De Koning is a gun. Carlton definitely better than what they showed against Richmond!
