Yeah for me the responsiveness is almost as bad as it was at launch, I'm struggling to get through quarters without wanting to break my controller because players simply do not do what you want them to do.

I cannot wait for the next patch

Had a funny passage of play where possession changed via 3 holding the ball calls in a row!!

Not enthusiastic about the AI playing on or making decisions without user input. Can lead to the human player being screwed over.

Can someone please upload these into the game?

Daily patches are not sustainable for the long term, as foreshadowed over the past couple of weeks, we will be moving to weekly patches, and it may not be exactly a week, maybe a few days less/more depending on testing.

So any spoilers whether we can expect one before the weekend or not? Or vaguely what's being worked on for the next one?

I doubt Ross will have anything to say outside of what was posted by Big Ant on twitter last.
He literally said:

We will also have an update on the AFL23 XBox release within the next 7 days.
I’d sure hope he has something else to say.

Technically speaking, “within 7 days” would be the end of today.

Does BigAnt have a timeframe on when they expect to fix the game to the state it should've been?

I swear every update just makes me more frustrated than the last one. 2 things fixed, 3 things broken.

The AI cheats like hell, calls aren't made, set shots are broken for AI and myself, handballs don't work well anymore, players feel like they're on a track and can't deviate from it, the stupid protected zone is a forcefield and nothing can go anywhere near the radius, players been able to dispose of the ball instantly in a tackle. Plus, somehow, switching players feels worse it's been in a month.

I appreciate the new animations etc (they add a lot) but there's just so many things that need to be fixed.

Ok maybe I could have worded what I said better. Since the question was asked if we would get an Xbox announcement tomorrow: What I was trying to say was that Ross probably won’t provide the details or information (straight up) as to when they plan on saying anything more about the Xbox release. He will most likely refer back to what was posted by Big Ant last week and say they have nothing more to add.

We're still waiting for the 7 day roadmap to be completed that was due May 12th. I wouldn't hold my breathe

If you tap R2 this allows you to move backwards and forwards on your mark line without playing on, play on is called as soon as you move off your line.
I know that, but you can't rotate doing that on the line, the player will start moving off the line if you change direction. It'd be better if it were more like the 2011 game where you can move back and forth and rotate without playing on, so the player stays on the line when changing direction.
I love doing this with kickins as it allows you to move all around the square before playing on.
It's only good for kick ins, since you have a big space to move in.

I can now (semi) retire from AFL 23. Only popping in to post odd quirks of the game AND test out any new patches that either improve or make the game play worse :p

My only real challenge left is to try and replicate the first quarter and aim for a new high score of 1400 :)
Surely a 1000 point win as well?
You’d have to feel like you’re missing something without that!

Really took the foot off the accelerator in the second half with 78 goals to 16 after a blitz in the first with 83 to 4

That's almost impossible on 20 minute quarters (keeping the opposition scoreless) otherwise the 1000+ win would have been achieved in this instance.
I had a few lapses in concentration that resulted in goals scored against me.

Tell your boys it’s a 4 quarter effort. Junk time goals are unacceptable
