I wonder how far Geelong would take this if it goes the wrong way for us? Do we go to court?

Replacing Pods with Cam is not apple for apples. Pods and Hawk are allowing our long kick game , where as Cam would give us more leadup.I fear it would mean more hand ball. One thing for sure if Mooney came in after a Pods suspension , I wouldn't want to be a Pies backman.

if we have to.pods is critical.i love cam but right now he cant contribute what pods can.

Look guys, i hope i'm wrong, no one wants to see anyone rubbed out, but they way i saw it was Kerr had the ball on the ground, Kelly had enough time to make his play and he chose to go in knees first, you can't do that in RL FFS, he is in trouble.

Ok then, so if he isn't allowed to go in knees first, maybe next time he will go in feet first with his studs out..... would that be better????

Makes no difference how the high contact occurred, it was the bump that caused the high contact, end of story, he should be fine though IMO.


And Kelly should get weeks, if you want to go sliding into players on the ground knee's first i have no sympathy for him what so ever, very nasty incident IMO.

I don't pretend to understand how the MRP works, but surely if the head high contact was incidental in that context they couldn't possibly use that contact to suspend a player? If the initial bump isn't high then the bump itself can't be ruled high, just the act of the player's head ricocheting after the fact. If that is ruled high then the game is ****ed.

I hope nothing happens with that, you just see Kelly sliding into the contest which of course would make a bit of contact with anyone in the way.

Kelly's a gun and was my favourite player from last Saturdays game

I saw the Kelly "incident" for the first time yesterday and I'm assuming you are taking the piss.

Such a nothing incident, as he was clearly just attacking the ball, Kelly now has 10 years of honest ball playing on his side, I've never seen him doing anything deliberately malicious on the field, and I still haven't.

FWIW guys i don't think i've got a MRP decision right all year, i know James isn't a dirty player and as i said i hope he has nothing to answer for, guess i just feel more for Kerr, geez that woulda hurt, good luck on Saturday.

If he gets suspended for that then the bump is officially dead! However, it would not suprise me at all if he got found guilty with the form the tribunal has had this year.

A player hasn't been suspended for an indecent similar to Kelly's all season. They are not going to start suspending players for it in GF week.

If you go the man there is no such thing as incidental head contack AFAIK, incidental head contact only comes into play when both players are going the ball etc etc i think, i honestly don't think Jpod has anything to worry about though, he 'maybe' wouldve copped a reprimand/week during the season just like Wellers wouldve 2 weeks ago, clearly the MVP put the whistle away during finals.
