Shiel and Parish are consistently in the top 20 clearance players and Hobbs will play in the style of Neale.
Personally I am not locked into anyone. There are five players we could take and they would fill a need we have.

From a drafting prospective, that means one of Pick 4, Pick 22, A.Davey, J.Davey or Munkara are not happening (assuming we don't just draft Davey with Pick 22).

So essentially
1. Pick 22 is gonna get traded for future picks and maybe some more points late this year; or
2. If we are interested in using Pick 22 (one someone other than A.Davey), then we are only interested in Munkara if he slide completely out of the draft and we can list him as a Cat B rookie.

At this stage I am presuming he is back for next year, yes. He is back at Tullamarine training at the moment.

Training at tullamarine doesn’t mean much, he would’ve been given an off season program in August so obviously allowed to use facilities to complete it.

Although I do think we’ll find a way for him to be on the list.

If they're not re-signed by the end of October then they get a weekly allowance until they're either re-signed or delisted, which is what would be happening here I think

Maybe we're looking to trade up to grab Brayden George, which will give us that SSP spot? Or we think Munkara goes undrafted?

Thats a lot of moving parts.

I think we make the executive decision by the draft and we will know by whether they delist Eyre, keep 22, or both

I'm pretty sure SSP spots have to be either:

• The 37th or 38th spot on the list, which can be either a Senior listed player or a Category A rookie if you have more than 4 Cat A rookies
• One of the first 36 senior list spots if the incumbent has a long-term injury or retires and is moved to the inactive list

Either way, you have to finish the pre-season draft with a minimum of 36 senior players, so we have to fill those somehow, you can't leave one open for SSP.

If Munkara slides and ends up as a category B rookie, we'd have to use another pick in the national draft, pick up a delisted free agent in the 3rd DFA period (runs for 1 hour after the national draft), or draft someone in the PSD, in order to fill the minimum 36 list spots.

To open a 37th senior list spot, we'd need to have fewer than 6 rookies, but we already have 6 and they're all contracted for next year...

So basically the only way we get an SSP is if we delist a contracted rookie, or move a senior player to the inactive list after 1 December (final list lodgement).

I do but the realist in me says Shiel will run out his contract and Parish will likely stay unless HE wants to go.
100% think we need an upgrade but I am not really seeing it happen.

So you've basically created a scenario where I'm crazy for doing research and looking at the market, and what is considered to be needed to advance into the top 5 of the draft, and said it's irrelevant?

No offence but if St Kilda want their top 5 pick, they have to pay up. They're shifting 5 picks up for a reason. The precedence is there, we won't add 22 to the deal. And St Kilda aren't dumb enough to ask for it, because they're not you.

And St Kilda are more likely to be top 8 than bottom 4 next year.

Your research is worth two fifths of **** all when you’re basing it on clubs like gws who have a horde of picks and continue to stack them year over year. Do you look at the epl and wonder why all clubs can’t money launder cough I mean transfer like man city?

GWS are a massive outlier and anyone using them as an example are either naive or stupid, which is it?

St kiilda are not offering a potential top 4 pick next year for a 6 pick upgrade (and especially not for the best of the rest after the top 3 lol), it would be nice if trades that are continually brought up here at looked at from both sides.

I also don’t know why you keep saying if st kilda want this they have to pay up, it’s your scenario based on gws trading, it’s not actually legit and It would be one of the dumbest trades I’ve ever seen.

What current player would you say Phillipou ends up like?

Bont without the elite clearance ability. Not that I am big on comparisons. Could also say a Jake Stringer with a bigger tank. I am not saying he is those guys but he is that style of player.
