You've got to be worried about that, and I am hehe. He is one of those calculated risks - an unusual selection with such tremendous upside. Also, he came back very underdone when he had that poor stretch everyone remembers. A lot of people got burnt. With a fresh start (and hopefully not another round 1 injury) he could return to 06 numbers.

Salopek is the other one I like at that price but more people seem to have cottoned on to him.

I think more people will pick McLean than Jones. Jones' form in the nab has been outstanding for his price too.

Also think I'll shut up about it now :D

Heh. I love how people can't help talking about bargains they've found. You just have to tell to let it out don't you.

I'm not talking about total selections. Obviously McLean as the bigger name will be selected more. Amongst the more studied dreamteam players it isn't nearly as close and I think Jones could pip him in selections.

I only hate it when its me :)

Just deciding now which 2 i should have out of Mclean, N Jones, Reilly or Murphy

Same as 54 Dogs said, Jones and Murphy for me.

Don't know if you're a Crows supporter, but I am considering Reilly in my midfield depending where the coach puts Edwards and Goodwin. I think Edwards is being tried as a pocket player so Reilly might take all his midfield time and posessions. Also if Goodwin plays on the wing and Scott Thompson gets the tag, if could be :thumbsu:. He also kicks a lot more than he handballs and can take a good mark. If he keeps injury free, he might become the Dark horse in the midfield.

Lennyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Once a DTgun always a DTgun

He's just cruising in his first game...racked up 45-50 in 20 odd mins of footy.

Blowing hard but totally dominant in the middle when on the paddock...he's just made my mind up.

He had more than 20 mins in the first half if you'd actually watched it.

Riewoldt has been quite good but his 3 goals have inflated his score, and you wonder if he can kick that many with Kozi and G-Train in the side. The flipside to that though is that with their inclusions he'll also probably be released back up onto the wings to take his valuable marks again.

Sam Gilbert is showing a bit. Although he is quite expensive and Sam Fisher is out tonight.

What's going on with the live scores/delay scores on Fanfooty monty? Live scores are on the front page. Ruins it for those watching the delayed telecast.

By the look of the ice on the knee in the last quarter I don't know if I want to fork out $430K and hope to get 22 fit rounds out of Riewoldt at full fitness.

When I wrote that he wasn't iced up yet :p

We'll just have to see how this develops.

Stanton looking good for those who have faith in him :thumbsu:
And Armitage boosting his score late. The question is can he do it with a full midfield in. You can throw out the 'if he gets gametime he'll score well' line, but the fact remains that he averaged barely 30 last year.

Hayes, Dal santo, Harvey, Montagna and Fiora all played tonight. Ball also played a half. I think that's there whole midfield. Not convinced?

I can see your point but you'll find that Hayes, Montagna, Ball and others to some extent had reduced game time. Who knows though, all I'm saying is to be cautious with it :thumbsu:

That's the worry. With Hayes, Ball, DelSanto and Harvey playing more minutes his time may be limited.

Was it just me or does Dempsey look like Jordan McMahon's twin brother back there. Left foot running indigenous back pocket with the black flowing locks. He does look value at 133K for a last place mid.

Very tough to break into that midfield...Armitage would be looking like the steal of the year if he was at the tiges/blues/dees/dons etc.

Looked busy when on the paddock and racks up the tackles.

VERY good chance he'll start rnd 1 now...either way with their injury averages he will see a fair bit this yr.

I think he'll average somewhere between 60-70. And my prediction is that he'll play between 15-16 games, or if he keeps his form up he might be in the team for longer.

Sounds about right ...like most though i;m on the hunt for DEFINITE rnd 1 starters amongst the grommetts.
Classical inside mid in the making...i'm thinking he might be worth it though even if not rnd 1.
Plenty of decisions to come yet :thumbsu: Good luck for the season.

edit..just looked on FF..check out his SC score for just 20 touches...144

I think you nailed it Bollox. Plenty of decisions to come yet. The last scratch match before Rd1 is when teams will mainly test the lineup they want to play the following week.
